“Summer House” season 10 introduced Bravo viewers to several new faces, including Mia Calabrese, an extremely close friend of Ciara Miller who happens to live in the same building as her in the Big Apple.
Although fans are always giving newbies a hard time, especially on a show that has been on for nearly a decade, Calabrese fit right in. Throughout the season, it was especially endearing to watch her friendship with Miller and sisterly bond with newcomer KJ Dillard.
On May 25, Calabrese attended the American Music Awards and instantly had fans doing a double-take with her jaw-dropping look. The reality star wore the recreation of Jennifer Lopez’s iconic green Versace “jungle” dress and absolutely nailed every detail.
Mia Calabrese Channels J.Lo in Iconic Versace Dress at AMAs
Getty“Summer House” star Mia Calabrese turned heads when she stepped onto the AMA’s carpet in a stunning recreation of Jennifer Lopez’s legendary green silk chiffon Versace dress, famously worn at the 2000 Grammys.
Calabrese’s sleeveless version featured the same daring plunging neckline as J.Lo’s iconic look, complete with tropical green leaf prints and a dramatic, flowing skirt that billowed in the wind as she posed for photos.
According to Today, Calabrese’s modern version of the green dress was actually worn by Lopez when she closed out the Spring/Summer 2020 Versace show at Milan Fashion Week. So, while Calabrese didn’t wear the original, she wore the modern version of the legendary Versace dress and looked flawless.
On the carpet, an excited Calabrese spoke to Entertainment Tonight about getting to wear the iconic dress.
“Let me tell you something. I remember seeing this dress when I was a little girl, and I promised myself, if for some reason on this God’s green earth I ever have an opportunity to wear this, I’m wearing it!” She shared.
In ET’s comment section, fans showed love and support for Calabrese and her daring AMA look.
“@miagcalabrese is THAT GIRL,” a comment read. “Mia is slayyyying!! 🔥🔥 I love her,” another fan shared. “iconicccccc ✨,” a fan wrote.
Will Calabrese Return to ‘Summer House’ Season 11?
GettyDuring the NBC Upfronts in May, it was confirmed that “Summer House” was returning for season 11 following a highly talked-about season 10, which had fans dissecting every scene after Amanda Batula and Ciara Miller’s ex, West Wilson, confirmed their romance while the show was still airing.
Although it is not yet confirmed, a report by Bravo and Cocktails shared that several of the newbies are returning for season 11, including Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, and Bailey Taylor. “Summer House” veteran Carl Radke and Jesse Solomon are also coming back.
Additionally, Batula, Wilson, and Miller will not be full-time cast members, and Lindsay Hubbard and Kyle Cooke will make appearances here and there. Batula, Cooke, and Hubbard are currently starring on the show’s spinoff, “In the City.”
Speaking to ET at the AMAs carpet, Calabrese was asked about her participation in season 11.
“I have no idea what the summer looks like,” she said. “But, I love Ciara. She’s one of my best friends. And that’s what I have to say about that.”
When asked if she’s “hopeful” Miller will return to the show, Calabrese said, “I’m praying to God. I’m crossing every finger and toe. Ciara, if you’re watching this, and I know you are, please come.”
The three-part “Summer House” season 10 reunion kicks off on Tuesday, May 26, on Bravo.
