Olivia Flowers shared new details about her canceled wedding to her fiancé Alex Williams—and how her closest friends helped her through it.
In February 2026, the former “Southern Charm” star, who dated Austen Kroll during Season 8 of the Bravo reality show, told Page Six’s Virtual Reali- Tea that she and Williams made the decision together to hit “pause” on their wedding and received immense support from their families and their friends.
“Three weeks out from the wedding, the wedding’s done being planned, and we’re still feeling that stress,” she explained. “And we talked to our families and we’re incredibly close with them. We have the best friends and family and support system.”
Olivia Flowers Said Her Friends Pivoted the Party
In October 2025, Flowers announced the end of her engagement via a statement from her rep to People magazine. “After much thought and many heartfelt conversations, Olivia and her fiancé Alex have made the difficult decision not to move forward with their wedding,” the rep said. “This was not a decision made lightly, but one grounded in deep mutual respect and love for one another.”
Flowers’ engagement ended days after her bachelorette weekend in Miami, Florida, where she described her childhood friends and college besties as her “favorite blessing.”
The former “Southern Charm” star told Virtual Reali-Tea that her friends helped her get through the day in November 2025 that was supposed to be her wedding day.
“Like when we got to the date …I went to Greenville, South Carolina, which is like one of my hometowns, and he went to Dallas and spent it with his family,” Flowers shared. “And if I can say one thing, my bridesmaids know how to pivot a party. So we just pivoted. We went, and all my best friends, we just had like a movie night. We made food and we just kind of took our mind off things.”
“We weathered the storm together, but, like, we could not have done it without the friends,” Flowers added of her and Williams.
Olivia Flowers’ Relationship Complicated Her Role on ‘Southern Charm’
BravoFlowers met Williams, who lives in Texas, “very randomly” at a wedding in May 2023, she revealed on “Scheananagins With Scheana Shay” in July 2024.
She told podcast host Scheana Shay that her new relationship with Williams caused Bravo producers to question her status on “Southern Charm,” which is filmed in Charleston, South Carolina. She ultimately was not asked back to the show.
“The production company was just like, ‘You don’t really seem to be in Charleston that much. We’re noticing on your Instagram you’re in Texas, you’ve got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you’re choosing a different path,’” Flowers revealed. “I went from feeling pretty confident and excited for the next [season] to then being a little blindsided.”
Three months after her interview with Shay, Flowers announced she was engaged to Williams. In the new interview with Virtual Reali-Tea, she confirmed she and Williams are still “together.”
