‘The Valley’ Season 3 Leaves Out a Major Name Amid Cast Shakeup

Scheana Shay will not appear in season 3 of “The Valley,” despite previously making guest appearances on the Bravo series. As the show returns with cast changes and new storylines, Shay has addressed her absence, while outside sources have also shared claims about her real status with the cast.

Season 3 introduces new full-time cast members Tom Schwartz and Lala Kent, while Jax Taylor has exited the series. Shay, who appeared in season 2 alongside other former “Vanderpump Rules” stars, is not returning in the same capacity.

Scheana Shay Explains Decision to Step Away From ‘The Valley’

Shay spoke about her current relationships with the cast during a January 9 episode of her podcast “Scheananigans,” where she responded to a fan question about her friendships.

“I am still good friends with all of them,” Shay said. “I talked to Brittany the other day. I talked to Janet yesterday. I’m seeing Michelle on Thursday for dinner. Jasmine and I hang out. Zack, Kristen, I just talked to. So, they are still all of my friends.”

She also noted continued communication with Nia Sanchez Booko and Danny Booko. “They’re all very much in my life, and TBD, what happens with the future of The Valley and myself,” Shay said.

Shay explained that her decision to step back from reality television was personal. “I just needed to step away for me, and I think time away from doing the show is really healing for me,” she said. “But you never know what the future holds.”

She added, “I needed to make a change in my life, and I did that. I walked away from what I’ve known as an adult and my career with reality with TV; that’s what I’ve done since I was 26 years old, and taking a step back from that last year gave me time to focus on myself, my relationship… I’m in my healing era, and I love it.”

‘The Valley’ Season 3 Cast Changes and Insider Claims About Shay

Season 3 of “The Valley” includes several cast updates, with Schwartz and Kent joining as full-time cast members. Both previously appeared in season 2 alongside Shay.

An insider told OK! Magazine that Shay’s absence may also be tied to tensions with other cast members. “None of the cast of ‘The Valley’ wants her on the show,” the source alleged. “They are tired of her abuse and think it’s funny when she announces she has been asked to be on the show and turned it down. She is dying to be on the show.”

The same source claimed Shay has created friction through public comments and promotion of her book. “She proudly went out and promoted her book while simultaneously trying to take down as many people as possible,” the insider said.

The source also referenced Shay’s reported issues with Kent. “She attacks Lala for not promoting a book that’s filled with horrible gossip. It only says ‘look at me’ while hurting others. It’s just another ploy to ride the coattails of Lala’s name for attention,” the insider added.

Despite those claims, Shay maintained that she remains close with several cast members and left the door open for a possible return in the future.

Season 3 will feature new storylines, including Brittany Cartwright’s life after her split from Jax Taylor, Jasmine Goode’s wedding to Melissa Carelli, and relationship developments among the rest of the cast.

“The Valley” season 3 premieres April 1 on Bravo.
