Scheana Shay may not be returning to Bravo’s “The Valley” for season 3. The “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 40, was widely expected to join fellow SUR alums Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, and her husband Brock Davies on the spinoff series, but new reports suggest she has yet to film any scenes — and her absence has fueled speculation about behind-the-scenes drama.
Scheana Shay Absent From ‘The Valley’ Season 3 Filming
Production on “The Valley” season 3 kicked off several weeks ago, but Shay has reportedly not been involved. On Sept. 8, Adam Newell of “Up and Adam Live” told his Instagram followers, “I’m hearing so far that well, clearly, Lala Kent has filmed … I’m also hearing that Scheana has yet to film.”
Newell pointed out that Shay was not present at co-stars Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko’s Sip and See for their daughter Adelaide, born June 5, or at Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick’s celebration for their daughter Kaia, born June 11. “What I’m hearing is that she has not filmed a single scene yet and that’s coming from ‘The Valley’ cast … That’s coming from people on the cast who are saying this,” Newell added.
Fans in the comments appeared split on her possible absence. One wrote, “Let the ‘Valley’ cast stand on their own. They don’t need Scheana or Lala,” while another added, “They were awful on the episodes from season 2!”
Rumors of Bravo Frustrations and Tensions With Former Bestie Lala Kent
Adding to the uncertainty, the “Cocktails and Gossip” podcast (from the same team at Bravo and Cocktails) reported that Bravo executives were unhappy with comments Shay made during her book tour.
“Bravo wasn’t happy with how much Scheana said on her book tour and some of the stuff in her book, I think they felt that she kind of threw production under the bus,” the hosts said.
The outlet also suggested Shay may have exaggerated a feud with Kent to secure a storyline. Kent, 35, has denied any tension, even jokingly referring to it as “Scheana Scheana-ing.”
Podcast hosts B and Amanda speculated that Shay’s frustration may stem from jealousy, saying, “It seems to me that Lala, who wasn’t really being mentioned to be on ‘The Valley’ full-time at least, essentially took her spot.”
Still, a Bravo and Cocktails source claimed on Aug. 9 that Shay and Davies will appear in season 3, potentially in an expanded role. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast — including Doute and Broderick, Sanchez and Booko, Jason and Janet Caperna, Brittany Cartwright, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham — are confirmed to return.
“The Valley” season 3 is currently filming and is expected to premiere in early 2026.
