Tom Schwartz returned to our screens as a full-time cast member on Bravo’s “The Valley” season 3. The reality star joins his former “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars Kristen Doute, Brittany Cartwright, and Lala Kent while he looks for his forever person, even flirting with someone in the friend group.
While Schwartz is back mingling with a few of his co-stars, a recent appearance on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast has fans wondering where he stands with other former cast members, including Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, and Jax Taylor.
Tom Schwartz Gives Update on His Friendships With His Former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast
GettyFans last saw Tom Schwartz, Tom Sandoval, and Ariana Madix all in one room together at the “Vanderpump Rules” season 11 reunion in 2024, capping off a tense season in the wake of Sandoval’s shocking affair with Rachel Leviss, a scandal dubbed “Scandoval” that fractured several friendships.
In a recent interview on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast, Schwartz was asked to share his current status with Madix, Sandoval, and even Jax Taylor, offering a surprising update on their relationships.
When it comes to Sandoval, Schwartz revealed, “I will always love Tom, like he was the first person I met in Los Angeles. We’ve been in the trenches together, and so many good times. So many highs, so many lows, and he’s family. I will always love Tom Sandoval.”
Schwartz was later asked about his current relationship with Jax Taylor, who stepped away from “The Valley” after season 2 to focus on his mental health.
Schwartz gave a positive update, sharing, “Jax is off the grid right now. He’s been sober for over a year now. He’s really put a lot of work into himself. From a friend stand point, I feel like he’s thriving, he’s doing amazing … He’s just kind of off the radar, laying low, and working on himself.”
Fans who follow Taylor on Instagram learned that the former VPR star moved out of his Los Angeles townhouse in February, sharing a video of himself and a professional moving company packing up all of his items in his home. Schwartz just so happened to also be his neighbor.
“Here’s to new beginnings 😊🙏,” he captioned his post without revealing where he was moving to.
Schwartz Shares Where He Stands With Ariana Madix Today
GettySchwartz was also asked about where things stand between him and Madix. As fans will recall, following “Scandoval,” Madix made it very clear that she would distance herself from anyone still maintaining a friendship with her ex, which ultimately left her relationship with Schwartz complicated.
However, during his interview, Schwartz shared that he just recently sent Madix a TikTok, but it doesn’t appear that the two have a close relationship as they once did.
“I think she unblocked me on TikTok. I sent her a TikTok the other day, but she never responded,” he said. “We are not like super close. She’s thriving in so many ways. Her life is so enriched, and fulfilled, and she’s in love, and she is crushing it professionally.”
He continued, ” I don’t think she has lingering resentment.”
As for Madix’s friendships with her old cast, she remains close to Katie Maloney, with the two women continuing to run their West Hollywood sandwich shop, Something About Her, together. In an October 2025 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Scheana Shay revealed that her relationship with her former best friend consisted of them speaking “here and there.”
Shay added, “We aren’t as close as we once were. But we have so much love for each other, so I know we’ll get back.”
