However, it appears that the couple has overcome those initial fears as they just announced they are expecting their first child together.
In an exclusive for People, the couple shared how they feel about becoming parents for the first time, with Najor detailing her “Where the Wild Things Are”-themed baby shower with her closest friends and Bravo castmates.

“✨ Surprise in the city! 💈👶 Baby Barber arriving in August 2026. Our greatest adventure is about to begin! ❤️ #BabyBarber,” she captioned the post.
“We’re beyond excited to become parents and start this next chapter together,” the couple told the outlet. “Growing our family is something we’ve dreamed about for so long, and we feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by so much love and support as we prepare to welcome our baby,” they added.
The couple shared that fans will watch them have serious conversations about starting a family on the show. “You’ll see some of that journey unfold this season on ‘In the City’ as we navigated these decisions together, but standing where we are now, we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead,” Najor said.
Najor’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ Baby Shower
Najor decided on a “Where the Wild Things Are” baby shower theme, telling People that she hopes it reflects how she hopes her child will experience life, feeling “nostalgic, whimsical and imaginative” from the very beginning.
Najor also shared that it was a perfect theme for “the energy of our wild friend group” and how she first met her husband.
“And while Nick and I met (like most of us millennials in N.Y.C.) at a club called Acme years ago, throwing parties and events is definitely my arena to be wild — but a playful wild, and fun, while still feeling modern and elevated,” she added.
Najor’s close friends, including her “In the City” co-stars Lindsay Hubbard, Georgina Ferzil, Lexi Sundin, Whitney Fransway, Katie Deluca, and Danielle Olivera, who is also expecting her first child, were all in attendance and matched the “jungle” theme with their dresses. Photos also show the cast posing together, with Najor standing in the middle as the women touch her baby bump.
In fact, the women took the party back home, where Najor enjoyed a makeshift nightclub and DJ in her very own living room, which perfectly tied into how she first met Barber. The video begins with Najor stating, “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom,” as she opens the doors to see her friends all dancing and having a good time.
