Jacqueline passed away on 14th March 2020. Exactly six years after losing her beloved mom, the country icon and “The Voice” coach shared a message reflecting on the close bond their family had with the woman they often described as their best friend.

“Our Mama was one of a kind. She was our best friend. Happy 6th Heaven Birthday, Mama,” Reba wrote in the tribute.
The singer also shared a message written by her sister Alice, capturing the family’s memories and the lasting impact Jacqueline had on their lives.

Alice’s message offered a look back at the day the family said their final goodbye and the memories that still linger.
“Six years ago today, we sat by her side and wished her goodbye. There was so many in that bedroom we were stacked almost to the ceiling. It was cold, sleeting and raining. What an awful day to send her off to heaven, but at least she wasn’t suffering anymore. Don’t reckon there’s a day that goes by I don’t reach for the phone to call her and talk to her or argue at her or tell her joke or complain about something. She was one of the best, not perfect, but she never let on to be. She loved every one of us and our kids and our grandkids and I wish she was still here to see them. I love y’all all very much. Have a great day and think about her often.”
The heartfelt message reflected the deep bond Jacqueline shared with her children, grandchildren, and the close-knit family she left behind.

Jacqueline McEntire died following a battle with cancer, a loss that Reba first shared with fans in a deeply personal message on Instagram.
“Our Mother, Jacqueline McEntire, made that wonderful cross over into Heaven today,” the singer wrote at the time.
“She had a wonderful, full, healthy life and was absolutely ready to go. The cancer might think it won the battle but we’re giving God all the credit on selecting the time for her to go home to Him.”
Reba accompanied the message with a family photo showing Jacqueline smiling alongside her four children: Susie, Pake, Alice, and Reba.
“She was ready to see our Daddy, her mama, and daddy and all her family and friends,” continued the “Fancy” singer. “She left knowing how much she is loved, and we all know how much she loved us.”
Even years later, the memories of Jacqueline remain close to the family’s heart.
