20th Birthday Party on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2025

We are going to have a lot of nostalgic moments tonight during the 20th Birthday Party on “DWTS.” After all of the couples perform individually tonight, we will then get to see the relay dance competition before another couple is sent home. After another shocking elimination last week, will it be another week of surprised faces when the show ends? Find out with us during our Live Recap below!

Bringing Back the Originals

We kick things off with a huge opening number. We are bringing back the original pro dancers from season 1. It just kept getting better and better, as we have troupe members and pros (new and old). Very good start!

So many familiar faces in the audience tonight. We are going to have the individual performances, and then the Relay Dance competition, where the stars will be partnered with previous Mirrorball champions.

Elaine Hendrix & Alan Bersten on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Elaine said she’s been coming to the show since it first started. For tonight, they will be dancing a Salsa to “It Takes Two” by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock. This dance is inspired by Mario Lopez & Karina Smirnoff from the season 3 finale in 2006. Alan said their salsa is going to be a fun party.

This one was super fun. It definitely felt more freestyle than anything. They were having fun, and it was a strong start to the show. It seemed like Elaine was stumbling a few times or her feet got ahead of herself, but overall a good performance.

Judges’ Feedback: Tom said that it was really good, as he came down to hug her. Bruno said that’s how you get the party started. Carrie Ann said she looks at her and thinks of resilience. Derek said she is a sizzling salsa queen.

Judges’ Scores: 36 out of 40

Robert Irwin & Witney Carson

For tonight, they will be performing a Foxtrot to “Footprints in the Sand” by Leona Lewis. During rehearsal, Bindi Irwin and Robert’s niece come in. This dance is inspired by Bindi’s dance with Derek during her season, which was dedicated to her father. We are going to have another emotional night here! Then they take a call from Prince William, like what?

No doubt about it, but this was an emotional one. You can see how Robert feels those emotions, and he dances so well to it. It ends with Bindi coming out, then a video of their dad on the dance floor. Yeah, I am crying!

Judges’ Feedback: Bruno said it was a poetic, touching tribute, and he could not take his eyes off of him. Carrie Ann said this dance was so powerful, and he has become a beautiful storyteller, and who cares about the foot lift. Derek said Robert is this generation’s beacon of hope. Tom said he is doing his best tonight to not get choked up, and that didn’t help.

Judges’ Scores: 40 out of 40, the first individual perfect score of the season!

Andy Richter & Emma Slater

They got their first 9 of the season. For tonight, they are performing a Quickstep to “Puttin’ on the Ritz” by Robbie Williams. This one is inspired by the performance by Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold during season 25.

Andy wasn’t too excited about the Quickstep, since he isn’t moving too quickly out there. He is definitely slower, especially for a Quickstep, but America loves him.

Judges’ Feedback: Carrie Ann said there is nothing better than seeing someone show up week after week and give it their all. Derek said you did it. Tom said Len Goodman would have loved this. Bruno said it was quick, and it had plenty of steps.

Judges’ Scores: 29 out of 40

We then see a touching tribute to the stars and members of the “Dancing With the Stars” family that we have lost. The dance was performed by Ezra Sosa and Rylee Arnold. A great tribute.

Dylan Efron & Daniella Karagach on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

He said his scores from last week mirrored how he felt, all over the place. He is hoping to get it together this week. For tonight’s performance, they are dancing an Argentine Tango to “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers. This dance is inspired by the performance by Milo Manheim & Witney Carson in the season 27 finale.

I feel he has been more and more relaxed the past couple of weeks. While this is a more serious dance, I do feel like he was more tense and stiff during this performance. Maybe he just needs to show the abs to relax a little?

Judges’ Feedback: Derek said that it was his breakthrough moment by a long shot. Tom said he knows his brother is an actor, but he is a leading man. Bruno said you were not dancing tonight, he was staring. Carrie Ann said his journey has been outstanding.

Judges’ Scores: 40 out of 40

Jordan Chiles & Ezra Sosa

Jordan was very happy with her score last week, but only three weeks left, and she knows she has to step it up. For tonight, they are dancing a Cha Cha to “Get Up” by Ciara featuring Chamillionaire. This routine is inspired by the Wayne Brady & Witney Carson performance during the season 31 finale.

I was thinking this song would be an amazing song for Jordan, and I was not wrong. This is an upbeat and fun performance. They were having fun out there and working that dance floor. They have definitely been stepping it up more and more every week.

Judges’ Feedback: Tom asked them to turn up the air conditioning, because it just got hot in here. Bruno said she definitely brought sexy back into the cha cha cha. Carrie Ann said strong dance, but a little wild at times. Derek said he loves the texture in the body, and he saw that tonight.

Judges’ Scores: 37 out of 40

Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

They got a near-perfect score last week, so can they get that 40 tonight? Val and his brother joined this show in season 2! For tonight, they are performing a Foxtrot to “Singin’ in the Rain” by Matthew Morrison. This routine will be inspired by the performance by Nev Schulman & Jenna Johnson during the season 29 finale.

This was such a cute, classic dance. They looked great together, and it was just fun to watch. They are definitely a strong couple.

Judges’ Feedback: Bruno said he thinks he entered ballroom heaven, and this is how you do it. Carrie Ann said she is letting go, and there is something so joyous about it. Derek said clean, classic, smooth, and stylish. It was flawless. Tom said that was more than a dance; it was a chemistry class.

Judges’ Scores: 40 out of 40

Whitney Leavitt & Mark Ballas

They won immunity for the relay dances, so Whitney said they will be under a microscope tonight. For tonight, they will be dancing an Argentine Tango to “Cell Block Tango” from “Chicago The Musical.” This routine is inspired by Gabby Windey & Val Chmerkovskiy from the season 31 finale.

I mean, the song choice: perfection! I think they did a good job, and they worked very well together. The ending, though. That was a move, for sure.

Judges’ Feedback: Carrie Ann said she is going to follow her wherever she goes after this show. The way she stuck that landing. Derek said it was dripping in elegance and control. Tom said still vote for them. Bruno said razor-sharp focus driven by passion, the best dance of the night in his opinion.

Judges’ Scores: 40 out of 40

Relay Dances on ‘DWTS’ 2025

Time for the second part of the performances for tonight. Whitney & Mark earned immunity for the relay dances, plus they got 2 bonus points added to their score tonight automatically, so they are 42 out of 40 for the night.

The remaining six couples were divided into three relay groups. The winner of each group will be rewarded 2 bonus points. The stars won’t be paired with their pro dancers, but instead paired with past Mirrorball champions.

Jordan Chiles & Apolo Anton Ohno vs. Elaine Hendrix & Rashad Jennings

They will be performing a Quickstep tonight. Jordan is used to working with tall Ezra, so working with a shorter Apolo is something she has to work on. Elaine & Rashad are ready to entertain the crowd.

Jordan & Apolo are up first, and it’s kind of cool to see them out there together. A Quickstep is no funny business, but they do very well. Elaine & Rashad come in for the second half of the dance. They are definitely entertainers and having fun out there.

Judges’ Feedback: Derek said Apolo, that was incredible. Fantastic for both of them. Tom said they had athleticism and elegance. Bruno said it was great. Carrie Ann said bravo to the returning champs.

Judges’ Results: The winner of this relay dance on “Dancing With the Stars” 2025 is Jordan & Apolo, so she gets 2 bonus points tonight.

Dylan Efron & Rumer Willis vs. Andy Richter & Kaitlyn Bristowe on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Emma told Andy he has to be on his best behavior, as he is dancing with someone else on “Dancing With the Stars” season 34. Kaitlyn said she hasn’t danced since winning five years ago. Rumer is actually friends with Dylan’s brother, so they know each other. They are dancing a Viennese Waltz tonight.

Ripping Andy’s shirt off to show his “abs” was a nice touch. Yes, they tried, but Dylan & Rumer were so good and so sexy. They definitely deserve this win.

Judges’ Feedback: Tom said it was a massive entertainment experience. Bruno said Dylan & Rumer were like making music. Andy is going to go viral. Carrie Ann said Rumer & Dylan were magic, and Andy had sex appeal tonight. Derek said Dylan & Rumer were beautiful, and Andy was so fun and entertaining.

Judges’ Scores: The winner of this relay dance on “Dancing With the Stars” season 34 is Dylan & Rumer, so they get 2 bonus points

Robert Irwin & Xochitl Gomez vs. Alix Earle & Joey Graziadei

We have the last two Mirrorball champions taking the dancefloor this time. They will be dancing a Jive tonight, which Xochitl has never danced before. How do you win a season and not dance one of the dance styles?

Yeah, this was a performance made for Robert. He looked like he was having so much fun; they both were. Joey & Alix did a great job too, but I feel it lacked the fun and personality that Robert & Xochitl’s did.

Judges’ Feedback: Bruno said the standard this season is outstanding. Tom said they are doing record numbers this year, so bring back the results show next season.

Judges’ Scores: The winner of this relay dance is Robert & Xochitl, so Robert gets 2 bonus points added to his score on “Dancing With the Stars” season 34.
