Brandon Armstrong Provides ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Fans With Health Update: ‘It Could Be a Lot Worse’

Much-loved “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Brandon Armstrong has provided fans with a sad update about his health.

Armstrong, 31, started working on the show as a troupe member on 2017’s 24th season. In 2018’s season 27, he was promoted to become a competing pro. He has since partnered singer Tinashe, singer Mary Wilson, television stylist Jeannie Mai, actress Kenya Moore, singer Jordin Sparks, YouTuber Lele Pons, actress Chandler Kinney, and singer Lauren Jauregui on the show.

His best finish was 3rd with Kinney and, most recently, he finished in 12th place with Jauregui.

Armstrong is currently on the “Dancing with the Stars” tour, which began in January and is set to run until mid-May. He will, however, be forced to pull out following an injury, which he announced on social media.

Brandon Armstrong Has a Broken Elbow

Brandon Armstrong took to his Instagram account to share the news that he has a broken elbow with his 319,000 followers.

Armstrong’s update came in the form of a 75-second video, which he captioned, “Not the update I wanted to be giving…love you guys so much. ❤️”

In the clip, Armstrong explained that he’d been dealing with a “little problem” in his elbow, which has gradually become worse and turned out to be a broken bone. He has, therefore, been advised to leave the “Dancing with the Stars” tour and get some rest.

While he insisted “it could be a lot worse,” he also admits “it could be a lot better.”

He then spoke of his love of going on tour and getting to meet the fans, saying it’s “so hard” to accept that he won’t be able to finish.

Looking on the positive side, Armstrong says he sees it as a chance to get healthy and looks forward to seeing the fans against at Dancing with the Stars Con 2026, which takes place this summer from July 31 – August 2, in Palm Springs, California.

He concluded by thanking fans for the well wishes and prayers, blowing a kiss, and saying “love you guys.”
