Brylee Armstrong, wife of “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Brandon Armstrong addressed the rumors that her husband is “unemployed” following his elimination from the reality TV show.
Brandon was eliminated from season 34 of DWTS during the show’s third week. He was dancing alongside Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui before the couple was eliminated on the show’s “TikTok Night,” where they danced to Fifth Harmony song “Work From Home.”
Brylee discussed his elimination in a “get ready with me” video on her TikTok page on October 6.
She said she understands people’s confusion about what happens after pros are eliminated from the show because it isn’t talked about much.
Brylee Armstrong Talks Show Life After Elimination
“Question number one, does Brandon still have a job now that he’s eliminated?” the influencer began.
“Yes, Brandon is still very much a pro on the show,” she said. “Just because his partner was eliminated doesn’t mean that he just gets the boot [and] he’s gotta pack his bags and go all the way back to Utah.”
“Sometimes we joke that they kinda get busier when they get eliminated,” Brylee continued. “Because then they get added to other people’s dances, so instead of dancing once a night, they’ll dance multiple times.”
She went on to explain Brandon will basically become another member of the troupe, the background dancers on the show.
Brylee said when pros get eliminated it’s possible they get more chances to do choreography with extra appearances on the show like opening acts and special performances.
Brylee also addressed what happens to pro’s pay once they get eliminated.
She said she would not be sharing how it works for Brandon and explained she doesn’t believe pros are able to discuss it which is why many people wonder if they still get paid after elimination.
“Totally understandable that people are curious because I’m pretty sure even if you Google it, it’s not correct,” she said. “Maybe it is for some people, like I said, I don’t know other people’s business on the show, I just know Brandon’s.”
“All I will say is Dancing with the Stars takes care of their people so no need to worry,” she continued.
Brylee Armstrong Asks Fans to Continue Supporting Eliminated Contestants
Disney/Eric McCandlessBrylee went on to talk about how getting eliminated early into the show’s season makes it hard for the professional dancers to showcase themselves, their talent and personality to the audience. Which she said is something that’s been hard for Brandon.
“He had such a fun season last year because he finally made the finale and people got to know him and got to see his talent and his hard work and his choreography and all the things he felt like he wanted to prove to people and he did.” she said.
“For him to go home week three this season, that was a little bit tough.”
She advised fans to support Brandon’s dance partner, Jauregui, by listening to her music.
Brylee said the best way to support pros who get eliminated is by following their social medias and engaging with their content.
Since his elimination, Brandon has been active on social media, teasing an elimination-themed tattoo on his TikTok account.
In a video posted on October 5, Brandon teased that he was getting a tattoo, with his fellow DWTS pro Ezra Sosa holding his hand.
The next day, Brandon shared another TikTok video showing a stencil of a tattoo that said “pissed” above the number 34, referencing his dance partner’s one word response when asked how she felt about their elimination.
Sosa also got a tattoo of his dance partner’s one word response after their elimination in 2024.
