One of the most exciting celebrity contestants to be announced for “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 is two-time Olympian and star gymnast Jordan Chiles!
Jordan Chiles Joins DWTS Season 34
The official announcement for “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34 was made on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, September 3. The official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account later posted a short video of the entire cast showing off their moves, and Chiles definitely has the moves!
“The new cast of #DWTS has all the right moves. Join in for the season premiere, live Tuesday, September 16 at 8/7c on @ABC and @DisneyPlus! Next day on @Hulu,” the caption reads.
Wearing a bright blue dancing outfit, Chiles does the splits in the clip. And she does it with such ease, which is not surprising because her incredible flexibility has been on display before, most recently when she was a part of the gold medal-winning Team USA gymnastics team at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Fans have reacted to the post with great excitement. “EZRA AND JORDAN CHILES!!! I JUST FELL ON THE FLOOR,” a comment reads. “JORDON AND EZRA YUP THEY TAKING THAT MIRROR BALL HOME!! lets go,” another fan shared.
As the fan reactions reveal, Chiles is already a favorite to win Season 34, and she has a great professional dance partner to help her get there. The gymnast will be paired with Ezra Sosa.
Jordan Chiles Has the Support of Her Fans for DWTS
After the official announcement was made, Chiles made a post on Instagram on September 3. She shared two photos of herself in her dancing outfit, the same one that she wore in the promotional video. She looks incredible. In the second photo, she is joined by Sosa.
“Chat- we made it!!!! DWTS!!!,” she wrote in the caption. Fans are thrilled with her inclusion, and the comment section of her post is receiving an outpouring of love and support. Even fans who have not watched the ABC dance competition for several seasons have stated they will be tuning in for Season 34 now.
“I haven’t watched since normani and val but ohhhh trust i will be watching this season… soo happy for you!” a comment reads. “Screaming! This is so exciting!” another person wrote.

What makes this casting even better is that Chiles has previously expressed her interest in joining DWTS. “A lot of people say I have really good dance moves. I mean I like dancing, I like being involved in that area,” she told USA Today Sports in 2024. “If I told myself I wasn’t an athlete, I would definitely be in the dance music area of things, but honestly, if they came knocking at my door, I think it’d be really cool.”
