DWTS Fan Favorite Opens Up About Emotional Decision to Skip Tour

The cast for the next “Dancing with the Stars LIVE” tour has been announced, and fans are buzzing over the list. One current DWTS professional dancer who is notably absent, however, is Rylee Arnold. After the cast announcement, Arnold explained why she isn’t doing the upcoming tour.

Rylee Arnold Is Skipping the DWTS Tour to Focus on Her Health

After a great “Disney Night” performance with her partner, Scott Hoying, Arnold took to Instagram to address her tour absence.

She wrote, “So sad I won’t be on the DWTS tour this year. Being on tour the last two years was seriously the most amazing experience ever.”

Arnold gushed that while previously doing the tour, “I’ve made the best memories and met the best people!!”

However, she continued, “This year I had to make the hard decision to sit it out and focus on my health. Especially with managing my Type 1 diabetes, which can be tricky on the road.”

The dancer has been quite open with fans about the challenges she experiences in navigating her health issues both during the “Dancing with the Stars” season and while touring. During the last tour, Arnold sustained an ankle injury that took her out for the remaining dates.

In addressing her decision regarding the 2026 tour, Arnold concluded, “I’m gonna miss it SO much but I’ll definitely be cheering everyone on and can’t wait to come watch!!”

DWTS Fans Are Disappointed Arnold Won’t Be Touring

“Dancing with the Stars” fans shared their reactions to Arnold’s explanation in the show’s subreddit.

“She’s been injured on both tours why is anyone shocked she turned it down. While I think she’s a beautiful dancer the tours have wrecked her body…I’m glad she’s prioritizing her health but also mental health,” one fan wrote.

“Good for her. Never pick your job over your health. They will replace you at the snap of your fingers,” another Reddit user commented.

“As a type one, I have no clue how she did tour for two years. Especially while being injured both times… I’m glad she’s taking the year off because she doesn’t need to cause long term damage when she’s only 20,” added someone else.

“I’m so proud of her for prioritizing her health! That’s so important and must be hard for her to turn down tour when it’s her job and something she loves so much,” an additional Redditor shared.

The “Dancing with the Stars LIVE” tour will include Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Britt Stewart, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Brandon Armstrong, Daniella Karagach, Pasha Pashkov, Ezra Sosa, and troupe member Hailey Bills. The tour begins in January 2026.
