‘DWTS’ Alum Sends Desperate Plea to Fans While Solo Traveling

Simone Biles is pleading with fans to respect her privacy while vacationing in Madrid, Spain.

The Olympic great jetted off to the Spanish capital on Sunday for an apparent work trip. But interactions with fans have seemed to sour her experience.

Simone Biles Begs for Privacy

Biles took to social media on Sunday, April 19, smiling for a selfie while on board a flight bound for Madrid. Shortly after, the gold medalist posed for a mirror selfie in her hotel room while still rocking her airplane fit.

The Texas native announced that her husband, Jonathan Owens, did not accompany her across the Atlantic as his team kicked off training camp.

“My honey is off to training camp today,” Biles wrote in her Instagram Story over an image showing a framed wedding photo of the pair on the bedside table.

In the follow-up slide, however, Biles sent an emotional plea to fans in Madrid.

“Okay I realllllly love how passionate and dedicated y’all are,” Biles began. “BUT I have to be honest. It really makes me anxious when you stand outside of the hotel all day.”

She continued, “Can we please please please love from afar…& respect privacy xx.”

The gymnast — who placed 4th during season 24 of “Dancing With the Stars” — added three white heart emojis and three fingers crossed emoji.

“I would love to take pics while I’m out and about though,” she concluded with a heart hands emoji.

It’s unclear how long Biles will be in Madrid. However, it appears she is in town to attend the 2026 Laureus World Sports Awards on Tuesday, April 20, as she tagged the organization in her posts.

Simone Biles’ Husband’s Terrifying Milan Encounter

Simone’s emotional request comes months after she and Owens were nearly victims of a robbery in Italy.

The couple was traveling to Milan, Italy, earlier this year to support Team USA during the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The professional football player took to social media to share his scary encounter after a man tried to snatch his shopping bags out of his hands.

“Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan, force of habit i had it tied around my hand so he couldn’t get it and took off running immediately,” Owens tweeted on February 15. “But still crazy.”

Owens added, “I’ve seen too many TikToks of that happening, so I was prepared. It was hilarious how slow he started running away once he saw he couldn’t grab it out of my hand.”
