DWTS Champ Witney Carson Reveals Surprising Pregnancy Milestone by Season 35 Finale

With “Dancing With the Stars” season 35 less than a month away, fans are learning more about what to expect from the upcoming season, including the surprising contestants set to take the ballroom floor.

However, one of the biggest surprises so far is that season 34 champion and pro dancer Witney Carson is returning to the ballroom while also expecting her third child. Carson announced her pregnancy ahead of the new season and will be in her second trimester when season 35 kicks off.

In a recent interview on “The Viall Files,” Carson opened up about the exciting news, including whether she’ll have special wardrobes and just how far along she’ll be by the time the finale rolls around.

Speaking with Nick Viall on “The Viall Files, released on Friday, August 21, “Dancing With the Stars” champion Witney Carson opened up about how her experience on season 35 will look and feel different after announcing that she is four months pregnant with her third child.

“I didn’t really have being four months pregnant and dancing and competing on my bingo card this year,” Carson said, adding that it was a surprise to her and her husband, Carson McAllister, just how fast she got pregnant.

During their conversation, Viall pointed out that Carson will be the first pro to compete while this far along in her pregnancy. However, Carson is not the first professional dancer to compete on the show while expecting. In fact, Carson shared a shocking fact about how far along she’ll be by the time the finale airs.

“Going into the season in my second trimester, I’ll be about six months pregnant in the finale,” she said. Carson then joked while talking about making it to the very end with her celeb partner Guillermo Rodriguez, “We were joking today actually, I was like, ‘You’re going to lose your belly, and I’m going to gain my belly.”

Carson also discussed her outfits for this season. So far, the pro shared that she hasn’t thought that far into the competition, but added, “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little nervous. I’m really putting my body out there for the entire world to judge and comment on, which can be really scary for a woman.”

However, Carson said that she’s just going to “go for it” because “it’s empowering for women to embrace their bodies and do it on live television.”

While speaking with Viall, Carson also opened up about being partnered with “Jimmy Kimmel Live” star Guillermo Rodriguez, revealing that the two had never met before they were announced as partners for season 35 and sharing her initial reaction to the late-night personality.

“He is so sweet, you guys. He’s not like your normal comedian where he’s got like a bunch of jokes stored up; he’s just like naturally funny, naturally very endearing,” she told the host.

Carson stated that she let Rodriguez know during their first meeting that she’s aiming for a back-to-back mirrorball trophy, to which he replied, “Okay, but let’s not get greedy. He’s just very real and very funny, so I think people will absolutely adore him.”

And it looks like Carson is already having a blast with Rodriguez during dance rehearsals. The dancing duo has already made a few TikToks together, including one where Carson playfully bosses Rodriguez around as they get ready to take on the ballroom.

The pair also shared a funny TikTok for their first meeting, with Carson and Rodriguez mouthing along to Muni Long’s viral song “Made for Me” as they held hands and twirled around together.

“When you and your partner get along instantly >> can’t wait for this season! #dwts,” she captioned her post.
