Stars like Demi Moore and Jenna Ortega as well as Demi Lovato and LeAnn Rimes have been wearing sheer dresses to a wide range of industry events. That list now includes Ice Spice who opted to wear a see-through piece to “The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants” special screening at the Paramount Pictures Screening Room in New York on Wednesday, December 17.
Showing up in an all-white item, the full-length dress featured long sleeves that came down over her hands. Made of a delicate white lace, both the upper (form-fitting) and lower (ruffled) sections of the dress included a little more fabric while the midsection was quite sheer.
She paired her look with white platform heels as well as a flashy cross necklace. As for her hair, she traded in her signature orange shade for a lovely pink hue. She also opted against her former tight curls and instead went with long strands that hung around her shoulders.

Ice Spice may come across as a super-confident star — and there’s no doubt that she is — however, it’s something that she had to work on.
While Vogue pointed out that the rapper “radiates the kind of confidence that makes everything look good,” she explained, “I had to really build my self-esteem. People could be really mean. So you have to be the nicest person to you.”
Vogue noted “[t]hat means looking for new ways to express herself—both creatively and aesthetically,” and that led her to “gravitating more toward clothing and accessories with lots of personality.”
“I’m starting to fall in love with vintage pieces,” Ice Spice also said. “You get to see the aesthetics of what people were going for that year.”
Ice Spice Is Being ‘Authentic’ to Herself

Before stardom, she tended to wear “cheap” things, she told The Cut.
“Shout-out Fashion Nova: They held it down for a minute,” she said.
Nowadays, she opts to add “expensive” items to accessorize her ensembles. At the same time, The Cut explained that “she swears … that it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing but rather that you wear it with confidence.”
Ice Spice also mentioned the fact that when she’s true to herself, that tends to resonate with her fans.
“Once I brought it back to the real me and my roots, and I put my Jordans back on, and I just wore my natural hair, and I was just really being authentic to myself, that’s when my views started going up again,” she said while referring to a bump in listeners after a slump. “I was like, ‘Let me just be me.’”
