Catherine Bell has worked with plenty of impressive performers over the years. For instance, as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie in the television series “JAG,” she starred alongside David James Elliott. She also appeared as Denise Sherwood in “Army Wives,” which included Sterling K. Brown and Brooke Shields among the cast.
That’s not to forget about her role as Cassie Nightingale in Hallmark‘s “The Good Witch” films and TV series with Chris Potter and James Denton, among others.
Granted, that doesn’t mean that Catherine is immune to feeling starstruck. In fact, that’s just what happened when she had a chance to meet “The X-Files” star David Duchovny.
Catherine ‘Got Up the Nerve’ to Say Hi to David
Catherine shared an Instagram post on Friday, May 29, that showed her smiling while standing beside David who was also flashing a charming grin.
In the caption, she wrote, “Fan girl moment!!! 🌟”
“Got up the nerve to go say hi and ask for a picture and he was so nice! Do you want me to sit down and two of us had one of the deepest conversations about life and kids and relationships in 30 minutes,” she continued. “My new bestie! Haha 😊”
Catherine added, “These conventions are the best! Connecting with the fans who are why we’re even here [in] the first place, reconnecting with actors I haven’t seen in ages and then meeting new friends! ❤️🙏🏼 #grateful”
Catherine’s friends and fans were definitely impressed by the photo, with fellow “Army Wives” star Sally Pressman leaving a comment, saying, “This is preeeeetty cool CB ❤️”
“It’s David!! That’s so crazy. ♥️,” one fan added.
A third person wrote, “Beautiful fan moment🥰♥️thanks for sharing and I wish you an unforgettable con with lots of fun and joy ♥️”
“Love this! Huge X-Files fan here! 🥰,” came from someone else.
Another person popped in a message, writing, “OMG YOU’RE KIDDING ME. i love you both so much!!!”
Catherine and David Were at Fan Expo Denver with Other Stars
If you’re curious about how Catherine managed to find herself in the same room as David, then you’ll be interested to know that two were both attending Fan Expo Denver, which took place from May 28 to 31.
When it came to David’s appearance, the Fan Expo website explained, “For the first time in almost a decade, X-Files stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are reuniting as Mulder & Scully, joined by their cast members for the biggest X-Files reunion ever.”
The reunion also involved Robert Patrick (FBI Special Agent John Doggett), Mitch Pileggi (Walter Skinner), Annabeth Gish (Special Agent Monica Reyes), Nicholas Lea (Alex Krycek) and William B. Davis (Cigarette Smoking Man).
Plenty of other stars showed up for the event, including, Orlando Bloom, Bryce Dallas Howard and David Tennant. That’s not to mention Karl Urban, Matthew Lillard and Miranda Otto.
Beloved “Lord of the Rings” hobbits Elijah Wood and Sean Astin were also set to attend, as were Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd.
