Hallmark star Dan Jeannotte knocked it out of the park in his new movie, “A Royal Setting,” where he was reunited with his “Paris, Wine and Romance” co-star Jen Lilley. A couple of days before the premiere of his latest Hallmark film, Jeannotte gave fans a peek at a very different project he did that received some special recognition. Fans loved it.
Dan Jeannotte Was Nominated for an Award for His ‘North of North’ Guest Role
On March 26, Jeannotte posted a photo on his Instagram page and added a lengthy caption. The photo showed him looking very different from his character of Prince Luca in “A Royal Setting.”
The picture featured Jeannotte in character for the guest role he had on the series “North of North.” The show is Netflix’s first original Canadian series and stars Anna Lambe. Her character is named Siaja, and she is a “young Inuk woman who wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous — and extremely public — exit from her marriage.”
Jeannette played a photographer named Oliver, who appeared in episode 6 of the “North of North” debut season. He meets Siaja “just when she’s ready to put herself out there and get to know someone new.”
The photo that Jeannotte shared teasingly censored his bare chest. His caption began, “[CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE cuz I’m not giving it all away for free, c’mon now].”
He continued, “I was lucky enough to get a small, ridiculous role on the big-hearted, hilarious show NORTH OF NORTH last year.”
The show received 20 nominations for the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards, a feat that Jeannotte wrote was more than any other show this year. He received a nomination for Best Guest Performance, Comedy, and he quipped, “Nomination #20 is for this guy right here. Fun! Unexpected!”
The Hallmark Star’s Guest Stint on ‘North of North’ Was a Hit
Jeannotte also raved over the cast and crew of “North of North,” noting he was grateful to have the opportunity to play such a fun character.
Of the scene he teased in his post, Jeannotte thanked Lambe for “being such a good scene partner in SUCH an awkward scene.” He also congratulated everyone connected to the show on the nominations, writing, “the recognition is well deserved.”
The comment section of Jeannotte’s Instagram post was filled with congratulatory notes.
One fan gushed, “Fab performance in this role, incredible scene, you really light up a room!”
Someone else exclaimed, “CONGRATULATIONS STACHE DADDYYYY.”
“That physique should have earned several nominations,” suggested another fan.
When the scene featuring Jeannotte in a loin cloth originally aired in February 2025, fans of “North of North” loved it. A clip was shared via the show’s Instagram page, and viewers had plenty to say about it.
A couple of people asked who Jeannotte was, unfamiliar with his work, but curious to know more.
“Whoever wrote this scene is a genius,” another comment read.
“THIS WHOLE EPISODE IS GOLD,” gushed someone else.

Everyone be sure & watch Dan’s instagram clip-hysterical
Royal Setting was a FABULOUS MOVIE. Jen, of course was AMAZING & Dan was FANTASTIC. Such Great Chemistry between Jen & Dan.
New viewer here. Apologies for a comment that is definitely off topic but I’m just curious.. What is the attraction for Benjamin Ayres? I find that the most attractive feature of my favorite actors is their eyes. Almost all the actors have really beautiful eyes (hello, Niall Matter), even though they’re quite different. Apologies again, but Benjamin has huge overhanging brows, little eyes… I just guess I’m missing something. I’ve seen him in clips on cruise ships and so on and he has a really big personality but I’m interested in how he is in actual movies and I find him just very dark and gloomy. Please enlighten me! Thanks.
Wow How important are someone’s eyebrows. You have way too much time on your hands!
