While thanking her colleagues, Graham teased the fan-favorite debate over Rory Gilmore’s boyfriends. She joked that she wouldn’t pick favorites, but noted that Czuchry, who played Logan Huntzberger, was the only one present.

She called out Milo Ventimiglia and Jared Padalecki in good humor for missing the event.

The moment delighted fans, who have long debated which of Rory’s love interests was best for her.

US actresses Alexis Bledel (L) and Lauren Graham speak onstage during the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theatre at LA Live in Los Angeles on September 14, 2025.

The celebration came just weeks after the 2025 Emmys honored “Gilmore Girls” with a 25th anniversary reunion featuring Graham and Alexis Bledel. On the red carpet, Graham admitted she’d be open to reuniting the Stars Hollow gang once more — this time for a Hallmark Christmas movie.

“Given that the show is now on Hallmark Channel, it doesn’t sound so far-fetched,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. Fans online quickly echoed the sentiment, begging for more stories from the world of “Gilmore Girls.”

During their Emmys reunion, Lauren Graham got the audience laughing right from the start. “Twenty-five years ago, a show called ‘Gilmore Girls’ premiered and apparently took the season of fall hostage,” she joked.

Alexis Bledel followed with a smile, noting, “In spite of our autumnal dominance, ‘Gilmore’ was actually a very small show.”

Graham quickly added, “Meaning we had no money,” to which Bledel agreed, “Nothing.” Graham then quipped, “If there was a birthday at ‘The Drew Carey Show’ next door, they would send us their leftover sheet cake. We walked in circles in Burbank, saying, ‘Hey, look how Connecticut it is here today.’”

Fans can now relive the small-town charm on Hallmark Channel, where “Gilmore Girls” began airing on August 25.

Reruns air weekdays at 2 p.m. ET and weekends at 8 a.m. ET.
