Inside Hallmark Star Jake Foy’s Glamorous Wedding Festivities

On September 27, Hallmark Channel star Jake Foy and his partner, producer Nicolas La Traverse, got married in Montréal, Quebec. The couple previously announced their engagement on May 8, 3023. Foy joked about the approaching nuptials earlier this year, captioning a photo collage with “7 years later… that’s *commitment!*”

While the couple took a short ‘mini-moon’ to Miami, they’re planning a proper honeymoon to Europe in 2026. The couple has posted some adorable photos on Instagram. One showed them leaving the church after the ceremony, and another showed their matching tuxedos. And now, nearly a month after their wedding, they are revealing more information about the glamorous and ‘over-the-top’ festivities.

Historic Montréal Church Was The Perfect Choice For the Couple

For both Jake Foy and La Traverse, whose faith is important to them, getting married at the Church of St. Andrews & St. Paul was a dream come true. “A church was important to us,” they said. “We wanted to honor the tradition of marriage in a sacred space. We’re profoundly grateful to have been married in a house of faith, in the historic Church of St. Andrew’s & St. Paul, a location that has also served as a film set dozens of times.”

Their friend, Jacob MacInnis, performed Lauren Daigle’s “Thank God I Do” while the wedding party walked down the aisle. When the registry was being signed, he sang Stephen Schwartz’s “When You Believe.”

“We’re not exaggerating when we say there wasn’t a dry eye in the church,” La Traverse and the “Ride” star revealed.

Inside The ‘Succession’-Inspired Wedding Reception

The reception was held at Le Bateau-Mouche at the Old Port of Montréal. “When we found our reception venue on the river, we instantly fell in love with the marquee lights and the sunset atmosphere,” the newlyweds said.

The 100 guests in attendance were treated to a five-course meal on the St. Lawrence River. “It was perfectly cinematic and completely unforgettable,” “The Wish Swap” star and La Traverse said.

“While we’re not fictional corporate billionaires, we did have guests coming from as far and wide as France and California,” the couple told People about their “Succession”-influenced reception. “So, we wanted to ensure they were treated to a luxury weekend experience.”

To keep with the theme, guests were asked to “treat yourself to something vintage, wear that look your mom thinks is ‘over the top.'” There was even a mood board to give attendees examples of what to wear.

Deepening the Bond: Jake Foy & Husband Look Ahead After Wedding Day

For Foy and La Traverse, the wedding may be over, but their lives together as a married couple are just beginning. “We’re thrilled to continue this journey as husbands, deepening our bond,” they said. “We’re also proud to set a precedent for commitment within our community.”

“It’s exhilarating to have made it to this milestone side by side,” they added.
