Hallmark Couple Kimberly J. Brown & Daniel Kountz Look Back on ‘Best Day Ever’ for Their Wedding Anniversary

A Hallmark couple recently shared sweet messages on social media as they celebrated their wedding anniversary. Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz, who co-starred in 2025’s “Haul Out the Halloween” alongside Brown’s bestie, Lacey Chabert, have been married for two years, and they took fans on a sweet look back at the big day.

Kimberly J. Brown & Daniel Kountz Met While Filming a Disney Channel Movie

On April 19, Brown shared a photo from her wedding day on her Instagram page. In the caption, she wrote, “Two years ago today, we officially became husband and wife!”

Brown, who also appeared in one of Hallmark’s “Crossword Mysteries” movies, gushed that her wedding day was “Quite literally the best day ever.”

“You continue to be the best teammate and partner anyone could ask for. I love you forever, @danielkountz,” she added.

One fan commented, “Your love story is straight out of a romcom in the best possible way.”

Another fan joked, “Happy Anniversary… I really would’ve thought yall would’ve gotten married on Halloween lol.”

That Halloween mention was a reference to one of Brown’s most iconic roles, not just “Haul Out the Halloween.” Brown has a connection to Halloween that is much bigger than their recent Hallmark movie.

Brown’s breakout role was playing Marnie Piper in the Disney Channel “Halloweentown” movie series. As People noted in September 2024, Brown and Kountz first met while co-starring in “Halloween II.” They didn’t start dating right away, though.

Brown noted that they “got along great” while working on the movie, which aired in 2001. However, she shared, there were “never any romantic discussions, thoughts or feelings at that time.” She explained, “We were strictly professional.”

After filming for “Halloweentown II” wrapped, Brown and Kountz kept in touch casually. In 2016, she reached out to him about a project, and they decided to meet up to catch up. Not only did they catch up at that point, but Brown joked they also were “catching feelings” during that reunion.

Kountz Gushed Over His ‘Supremely Talented’ Wife

Kountz and Brown began dating, and they got engaged in June 2022. On April 19, 2024, they wed. The couple got married in Camarillo, California, at the Spanish Hills Club. Nearly 100 of their closest loved ones joined them in the celebration.

Kountz also took to Instagram to acknowledge his wedding anniversary. Instead of sharing a photo from the pair’s wedding day, he posted what may have been a shot from an engagement shoot or something similar.

In the caption, Kountz wrote, “My one and only. My supremely talented, beautiful amazing wife.”

He continued, “You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 2nd anniversary.”

“I am so blessed to be able to spend this life with you. I love you @officialkjb,” the actor added.

The top comment posted shortly after Kountz shared his post was from Brown, who wrote, “I love you so much.”

The pair’s colleagues and fans swooned over their sweet anniversary posts.

Lacey Chabert, who also starred in “Haul Out the Halloween,” wrote, “Happy Anniversary!! Best wedding!!”

Melissa Peterman, who also starred in the Hallmark movie with them, also wished them a Happy Anniversary.

A fan gushed, “My favorite couple. I shipped you two together when I first saw HalloweenTown 2 in like 2008!”

Several fans referenced the pair’s “Halloweentown II” characters in comments on Brown’s post. One shared, “I still love that our Marnie and Kal got hitched.”
