Marcus Rosner Reveals an Incredibly Rare & Impressive Achievement that Might Surprise You

When Marcus Rosner considers the different kinds of success that he’s enjoyed over the course of his life, the fact that he’s made Hallmark movies that are adored by fans surely makes him feel accomplished. He can also be proud of the fact that he’s a loving father to an adorable baby boy. That’s not to mention another achievement that he’s just shared that happens to be a rare feat that’s also super impressive.

Marcus Is Now a Member of MENSA

Rosner took to Instagram on Thursday, August 13, to share a trio of photos that gave fans a glimpse at his accomplishment. The first image showed a MENSA Canada card, while the second and third shots were of notifications that the actor received about his membership in the society. The one message even revealed that the star has scored in the 99.9 percentile which is “exceptional!”

Indeed, this high IQ score puts Rosner among the intelligent elite and makes his achievement quite rare. There are only 1,800 to 2,000 MENSA members in Canada and just 150,000 around the world, which is a mere 0.0018% of the total world population.

In the caption of Rosner’s post, he wrote, “Side-questing. 🧠🤓 Honestly…it’s probably just a thinly veiled attempt by the pretty boy to get validation for something other than his Hallmark face…but I’ll take it! Toronto members hit me up — I need nerdy friends…🙋🏻‍♂️”

The actor’s social media post prompted plenty of comments from friends, fans and followers who wanted to congratulate him on the brainy achievement, while others expressed both their delighted surprise and obvious admiration.

For those who aren’t aware, MENSA is a group that accepts members who have an IQ that is in the top 2 percent of the population. It’s also a society that boasts quite a few famous figures, including Geena Davis and Steve Martin, according to Vanity Fair.

This particularly impressive list also includes Glenne Headly (“Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” “Mr. Holland’s Opus”), Alan Rachins (“L.A. Law,” “Dharma & Greg”), Ashley Rickards (“Awkward”), Michael Muhney (“Veronica Mars,” “The Young and the Restless”) and Kara Hayward (“Moonrise Kingdom”) who was asked to join MENSA when she was only nine. That’s not to mention “Modern Family” actor Nolan Gould, who graduated high school when he was just 13.

To get an idea of just how smart these celebrities are, VeryWell Mind explains that tests find the average IQ is a score of 100, while also noting that “68% of people score between 85 and 115.” For those who land on the higher end, scores above 115 show that a person is quite smart, while “[a]nything over 140 is considered a genius IQ score.”

With that in mind, check out the IQ scores of these super intelligent stars, according to Popwire, including a few who are famous for playing less than brilliant characters…

  • Geena Davis: 140
  • Natalie Portman: 140
  • The late Robin Williams: 140
  • Nolan Gould: 150 (which is hiliarious considering he played the rather dense Luke on “Modern Family”)
  • Kate Beckinsale: 152
  • Lisa Kudrow: 154 (just what we’d expect from the quirky Phoebe Buffay)
  • Danica McKellar: 154
  • Sharon Stone: 154
  • Matt Damon: 160
  • Ashton Kutcher: 160 (not too bad for the actor who made his name as the dimwitted Kelso from “That ’70s Show”)
  • Dolph Lundgren: is 160
  • Mayim Bialik: reportedly around 163
  • Rowan Atkinson: 178 (yes, the man behind Mr. Bean is brilliant!)
