Marcus Rosner Says He’s Crying ‘All the Time’ in Beautiful Reflection About Becoming a Dad

Marcus Rosner is a changed man. The longtime Hallmark star, 36, has been adjusting to life as a first-time dad since he and his wife, Ali Kroeker, welcomed a baby boy in January 2026. In a powerful reflection he first posted to his Instagram Stories on March 11 and turned into a post the following day, Rosner made it clear that becoming a dad has profoundly impacted him.

With text over a close-up photo of him gazing at his son, grasping his finger, Rosner wrote a lengthy, run-on sentence that encapsulated his awe over all the emotions and thoughts flooding his head and heart.

“The damn feeling just grows and grows and grows,” Rosner began, “and then they kinda wake up after a few weeks and look at you — like REALLY look at you and it’s game over and then they smile for the first time and you want to punch a hole in the wall because you have so much [expletive] feeling bursting through you that you don’t know how to process…”

Marcus Rosner Quips That He’s ‘Not Coping Very Well’ With Emotional Journey of New Parenthood

Rosner, who’s also become a series regular for the fourth season of the CW’s “Sullivan’s Crossing,” continued his ode to the early weeks of parenthood, noting that the wide range of emotions make him feel like “you’re just going to explode and you cry all the time and you’re afraid they’re gonna figure out how to walk and go out in the world and someone is gonna be mean to them and then you’ll have to kill someone and you’ll have to spend your life in jail and the only downfall is that you won’t get to see them as much…”

“I dunno I’m not coping very well,” Rosner adorably admitted, “but it’s amazing and I love it and I’m just feeling a lot of things. K bye.”

After Rosner initially posted his raw and relatable reflection in his Instagram Stories, he got so much feedback that he decided to turn it into an actual post, writing, “Ha, lots of love for this little rant I put up in stories yesterday. Gonna toss it on the main page here so I can come back and look at it down the line. 🍼”

Fans and friends flooded the post with love, including one who wrote, “You’re a human being ! Vulnerable and a brand new parent. I loved your open , honest sharing . I send love to the 3 of you❤️❤️❤️”

Another quipped, “That’s how my brain spirals every day. 😂 Adorable. You are going to be the best dad.”

Someone else shared, “I feel this to my core! Big love fella, love watching other parents feel the same burst of love for their child. The uncontrollable urge to want to protect them with everything of my being. You’re a natural, and I can’t wait to watch you guys enjoy your beautiful family! Way to go Mom & Dad! 🙌🏼🫶🏼”

Marcus Rosner’s Baby News Was a Big Surprise to Fans

Rosner, who’s been a familiar face on Hallmark Channel since 2014, including in the series “When Calls The Heart” (season 2) and on the network’s one-season rodeo series “Ride,” has been married to Kroeker, an independent filmmaker, for four years.

The “Love Club” star, who co-owns a Canadian production company, did not share publicly that his wife was expecting, so their baby announcement on February 1 was a big surprise to fans.

As fellow Hallmark stars flooded his post with love and well-wishes, Rosner shared the black-and-white photo of his newborn in his Instagram Stories and sweetly wrote, “Welcome, my boy. All I know right now is you will never wonder where I am. The rest we’ll figure out as we go.”
