Dave and Jenny Marrs have a farm update — they’ve welcomed some new babies to their crew of animals and they are the cutest! Find out more about the HGTV stars’ new baby chicks and Dave’s big plan for an epic chicken coop.
Jenny Marrs Introduces Newest Farm Addition
On March 11, Jenny took to Instagram with a look at their new baby chicks.
“New babies arrived at the farm today!” she shared with a video of the busy chicks chirping about.
She continued, “Dave has been building the new chicken coop in preparation for their arrival for weeks. It’s not quite finished and I can honestly say that I have never seen him work so hard on any other project for our animals.”
“Dave loves his chickens and he’s basically building the Taj Mahal of coops out back,” Jenny shared.
“Stay tuned for the big coop unveiling,” she added. “It’s going to be adorable and, even though I don’t love full-grown chickens, these baby chicks are CUTTTEEE!!! (Also, Char has big plans to train them to do tricks, including riding a bike. IYKYK) 🥰❤️.”
The new additions to the farm come after the Marrs’ devastating loss of their sheep BaaBaa and her four babies following an emergency C-section in February.
On March 12, Jenny took to her Instagram Stories to give fans a look at Dave’s work on the chicken coop and it’s pretty spectacular.
“It’s going to be a little stone cottage, which is adorable,” she said of the massive coop that contains, in part, an old shed that Dave repurposed.
“He’s retrofitted it and made it into this awesome chicken coop,” the HGTV star explained. “He’s been working on this a lot.”
On one side of the coop, Dave is building a greenhouse, which Jenny said she is “so excited about,” noting, “I’m going to get citrus trees, so for the winter, it’ll be amazing.”
Fans Can’t Get Enough of the Sweet Chicks
Dave and Jenny’s fans flooded the comments section, sharing messages about the little babies.
In response to one fan who asked, “Are they going to have names?” Jenny responded, “Oh yes! Charlotte has them all named! 😂”
Other fans noted, “They are so precious. I love that little sound,” “Cuteness overload,” and “Baby chicks are the best! So cute.”
Some fans shared their own experiences, with one writing, “I love my chickens so much. They have such fun personalities!”
“I love hearing all those chirps, reminds me of all the years visiting my grandma’s farm and loving on all the chicks and gathering eggs from the grown-up chickens!! Some of the fondest memories of my childhood,” one fan commented.
