On August 26, Dave shared a brief video on Instagram with the caption, “Is this normal for anyone else’s life? Who is this girl?”
In the video, Dave films himself walking to the door, saying, “Charlotte Marrs, knocking at the door … with a horse.”
He included the text “Farm life!” on the video.
The HGTV star opens the door to reveal Charlotte standing at the door with the animal. She gives a smile, patting the horse and saying, “She’s a good girl. She’s so good!”
Jenny confirmed, “Completely normal 😂🤷♀️❤️” in the comments.
Fans lit up the comments section, with one noting, “Not what I was expecting at the door,” and another joking, “Just what you need, a house horse.”

It’s very likely there will be more animals in Dave’s future, as he recently shared his wife’s obsession with rescuing animals.
On August 16, Dave took to Instagram to share a photo of bags of animal food piled up. “At what point do you realize your wife’s obsession with rescue animals has gone too far?😳💸💰” he noted in the caption.
Fans flooded the comments with support for Jenny’s obsession. “Nope Never,” one fan wrote. “Jenny has a heart of gold.”
Another fan commented, “Go Jenny go! There’s a whole side of that trailer that’s still empty.”
On July 18, Jenny introduced the newest addition to their family — a cow named Minnie, who was “too small” and “too different” at her previous farm.
“But, here? Here, you are enough,” she noted.
The HGTV star also gave a shoutout to her husband, writing, “And thank you to @dave.marrs for the best surprise today (after a very long week) — a rescue cow? Yes, please. Always.”
It wasn’t long before Minnie had two new farm friends. On August 11, Jenny took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that two new rescue cows were joining the farm.
