Hilary Farr Hilariously Roasts HGTV’s David Visentin, Proving She’s Still Sassy As Ever

Hilary Farr may no longer be squabbling with David Visentin on “Love It or List It,” but the former HGTV co-stars are still happy to go after each other on social media. The duo spent 17 seasons competing on their show before Farr retired in 2023, later replaced by Page Turner in 2025.

But on January 17, 2026, Farr couldn’t help but take a shot at her former co-star, calling him “completely idiotic” after he posted a video of himself attempting a backyard cold plunge in below-freezing temperatures.

Visentin, who’s busy training for triathlons when he’s not selling real estate in Toronto, posted a video of him in his backyard, noting that it was one-degree outside, as he managed to spend 15 seconds in metal pool full of ice-cold water, up to his shoulders.

Farr couldn’t help but write in the comments, “Why not your whole body- including head/Brain which could probably use a jolt of deep chill😍”

She ended with, “To me it’s completely idiotic and goes against all human logic.”

Visentin humorously snapped back, “Logic is overrated and less fun …live a little Farr …life is short”

After Hilary Farr’s Zinger, David Visentin Challenged Page Turner to Beat His Time

Fans clearly loved seeing them playfully fighting again. Meanwhile, Turner took another route, telling Visentin that she was up for the challenge and could beat his time in the cold plunge pool.

When Turner wrote, “Get it DV!! 🧊🧊🧊” he replied, “….ready to take a plunge?! I dare you!”

Turner then responded, “I stay ready!! So … Accepted. 🧊🧊🧊”

After teaming up for their first season of “Love It or List It” together in 2025, the duo is back to filming a second season of the show together.

Hilary Farr & David Visentin Remain Good Friends

Although Farr and Visentin’s sassiness with each other on over 200 episodes of “Love It or List It” was notorious, the two remain close buddies.

After announcing her departure from their show in December 2023, she said in a statement, “It’s been a wonderful 12 years. I’m so grateful to the network for their support and to my fans who have stayed loyal and true. David and I will remain friends forever and I expect him to be as fabulously and hilariously annoying as ever.”

Farr told People at the time that her relationship with Visentin was akin to a sibling-like bond, explaining, “We are who we are on that show. Think of your brother as his most obnoxious and annoying, that’s David.”

But when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she told the outlet, “I was working all the way through cancer and he was always there. He had his little rough patches too here and there, and we were there for each other. Yeah, that’s a biggie. I don’t know that that’s going to change.”
