Amid a season of tremendous loss for HGTV stars Dave and Jenny Marrs, including the deaths of their beloved neighbors Bob and Jill, the loss of their beloved dog Dolly, and the passing of Dave’s mom, Jenny revealed on the morning of November 4, 2025, that she’s now also grieving the death of her grandma, whom she affectionately called Nana.
Captioning a carousel of touching photos of her grandmother with their family, Jenny wrote, “I can only imagine the joyous reunion that took place last night. Nana and Papa were separated earthside for way too long, she remained ever devoted to their love as she stayed behind and cared for all of us. All those years separated must feel like a blink now that they’re together for Eternity.”
Jenny Marrs Said Goodbye to Her Nana Via FaceTime: ‘I Love You More’
Jenny’s update comes two days after she shared a video in her Instagram Stories of her heartbreaking FaceTime goodbye with her Nana, who was hospitalized in mid-October. The “Fixer to Fabulous” star shared a brief video that showed her crying, with Dave by her side, as she said goodbye over the phone to her Nana, who was on a ventilator but alert. Jenny could be heard saying, “I love you more,” through her tears.
“Yesterday was a day of saying goodbye while Nana was still awake,” Jenny wrote beneath the video. “We are in the between now. Grateful for the promise of eternity. 💔”
In her November 4 update about her Nana’s death, Jenny wrote, “My Nana loved generously and laughed often. She was a southern belle who remained fiercely strong, feisty and so beautiful until her final breath.”
“She was larger than life, the world seemed to orbit around her, like the sun,” Jenny continued. “Everyone – including all my friends from childhood – wanted to be near her. It doesn’t feel real that she could be gone. I want to call her and tell her “I love you more” because then I could hear her say “not possible, I love you the mostest.”
Jenny Marrs Cut Her Family Vacation Short to Visit Her Grandma After Her Hospitalization
When Jenny’s grandma was hospitalized in mid-October, the Marrs were on big vacation in Orlando with their five kids and extended family. Jenny, who is from Florida, was able to visit her grandma in the ICU, she shared in her Instagram Stories on October 19.
Posting a photo of her dad, she shared, “We changed our flights home when great-Nana got hospitalized. My dad is reunited with the dogs and Nana is up and eating her dinner. Again, so thankful we are here.”
She also posted a photo from her Nana’s hospital room, where they watched reruns of “Fixer to Fabulous” on the TV, writing, “Thankful to be here right now. Spending the afternoon in the hospital with my Nana and we are being entertained by Dave’s jorts.”
On November 2, after sharing her goodbye with her grandma, knowing the end was near, Jenny posted another photo from their hospital visit of her hand clasping her Nana’s.
“I’m so thankful for the visit a couple weeks ago,” Jenny wrote over the image. “We had long talks and prayed together often. I can’t imagine this world without my Nana in it. She’s always been so strong and so inspiring. She leaves an incredible legacy here earthside.”
