Céline Dion took an unexpected tumble during her latest concert in France, but the singer quickly bounced back and continued performing for her fans.

Dion was performing Wednesday night in Nanterre as part of her Celine Dion Paris 2026–2027 concert series when she lost her footing while moving to the music.

The singer had been jumping several times on one foot during the performance before falling onto the stage and landing on her bottom.

She stretched out one arm as she went down, helping break her fall. But Dion did not stay on the floor for long.

Dion Quickly Recovered to the Delight of Fans

The singer quickly got back to her feet, gave the audience a thumbs-up and continued with the show. The moment drew plenty of attention online, with fans praising Dion for how quickly she recovered.

“Well, at least this will get people to stop saying she’s lip syncing. I’m so glad she’s OK!” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Dang she popped up real quick. I’d be down there barely getting up.”

“She fell Gracefully And She Got back up Quick fast Gracefully,” one noted, while someone else wrote, “Man I wouldn’t be able to pop up that fast.”

Others were impressed she is able to still perform. “The woman didn’t know if she’s gonna be able to Even move a year ago,let her fall and tumble and roll and whatever she Effin wants.”

“She fell with grace!!!! I love me some Celine!!!!!”

“Smoothest fall I’ve seen,” another added.

“Love to see her move. that fall was nothing to her, she got up quick & kept it moving.”

The moment comes as Dion continues a major return to live performing following years away from the stage.

The Paris concert series marks her first run of concerts in years after her career was sidelined by the COVID-19 pandemic and her health struggles. Dion was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affected her ability to perform.

In September, she returned to the stage for her first full concert in more than six years.

She Is Proud to Be Performing Again

Dion kicked off the opening night of her 26-show residency at Plenitude Arena, formerly known as Paris La Défense Arena, in Nanterre on Saturday.

She opened the concert with her 1998 song “On Ne Change Pas” but stopped just seconds into the performance after becoming visibly emotional.

The “My Heart Will Go On” singer appeared to wipe away tears and placed a hand over her chest before bringing her hands together in a gesture of gratitude toward the audience.

After taking a moment, Dion completed the song before moving on to another ’90s favorite, “Destin.”

She later addressed the crowd in both French and English, reflecting on the international audience gathered to see her return, according to PEOPLE.

“There are many of you here tonight from all over the world. Thank you so very much for coming. If it’s your first time in Paris. I hope you fall in love with it, just like I did. Finally, it’s amazing we are all together.”

Dion’s return has marked an important new chapter for the singer, who has continued to be open about the challenges of living with stiff-person syndrome. Despite the setback that forced her away from performing, she has now returned to the stage and is once again connecting with audiences in person.

And judging by her quick recovery Wednesday, Dion was not about to let one slip-up stop the show.
