KISS guitarist and music industry great Ace Frehley’s fans are sending prayers after learning that he is on life support with a brain bleed. He is 74.
Fans Pray For Ace Frehley’s Recovery
On Thursday, October 16, it was revealed that Frehley’s health had taken a dramatic turn and that he was on life support with a brain bleed. He “suffered a brain bleed when he took a fall in his studio a couple weeks ago,” TMZ reports.
On October 6, the rocker revealed in an Instagram post that he would be canceling all remaining tour dates. The message reads, “Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates.”
It is this same message, which is the last one posted on Frehley’s account, that has been flooded with well-wishes from fans who are praying for a miracle. “Hang in there, Ace!! We are all expecting you to be good as new in no time!,” a fan wrote.
“We are here for you Ace,” another fan shared.
A third comment reveals just how much of an impact Frehley has had on the lives of fans and on the music industry. “Ace, please rest and take as much time as you need. Your fans need you. Your daughter needs you. I need you. You’re strong, Ace. I’m thinking about you,” the heartbroken fan shared. “And I’m sending you lots of love and prayers. Wish I could send you flowers. I’m with you in spirit. I love you so much!”
Other reactions include “Get well. We wish you the best. Sending love & Rock force’s,” “Sending lots of prayers for ace …his music has always been there for me since I was little. I will always play his music,” and “Sending lots of love.”
Some people have paid tribute to Frehley and shared their condolences, but those messages appear to be premature.
Ace Frehley’s Health Update
As fans eagerly await an update on Frehley’s health, many fear the worst. Although his health prognosis is not favorable, the messages about his passing are not accurate.
“We’re told he’s been on a ventilator for some time, and hasn’t gotten better — so, his family is considering turning off support … perhaps as soon as Thursday evening,” TMZ reports. There is some speculation about whether Frehley is alive, but TMZ reports he was still on the ventilator as of Thursday afternoon.
Frehley is a founding member of KISS along with Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. He left the group in 1982 because of “creative differences and substance abuse issues,” TMZ reports. He is hugely respected in the music industry and an influential figure.
