La Toya Jackson Shares Sweet Message to Janet Jackson: ‘Family Is Everything’

La Toya Jackson is reminding her sister Janet Jackson just how important family is.

The singer shared a heartwarming video featuring herself and Janet on Instagram Thursday, Aug. 13.

Alongside the sweet clip, La Toya opened up about how much she values spending time with her younger sister as they grow older.

La Toya’s Sweet Message

“I love you Jan! @JanetJackson Family is everything! As we get older, we miss each other more and more,” she wrote. “I’m telling you guys it’s Important to express your love to your love ones, don’t let it be too late!”

The touching message resonated with La Toya’s followers, many of whom praised the sisters for sharing a glimpse of their bond.

“Be closer spend more time together love each other and yeah, it’s never easy. It’s always work, but if you’re willing to put it in, it’s there,” one person wrote.

Another fan added, “Ur absolutely right and I wish more people would realize how important and valuable family is/should be as close as possible and make time to spend and cherish with each other.”

“Having siblings is such a gift. Im grateful for mine every day. Please spend more time together. Time waits for no one,” another commenter wrote.

“Love this clip of you two! Family is everything. Hoping that you and J get to spend more time together soon. Even if it’s a phone call where you both catch up and laugh until your stomachs hurt!” another fan said.

Others simply expressed their happiness at seeing the famous sisters together, with one writing, “love seeing you and Janet together.”

The sweet reunion comes as the Jackson family continues to make headlines surrounding the new Michael Jackson biopic, “Michael.”

Janet Was Not Involved With the ‘Michael’ Film

The film brings several members of the legendary singer’s family into the spotlight, though Janet is notably absent from the project.

La Toya previously explained why her sister does not appear in the movie. While attending the film’s Los Angeles premiere in April, she told Variety that Janet had been asked to participate but ultimately decided against it.

“She was asked and she kindly declined,” La Toya said. “So you have to respect her wishes.”

La Toya, who attended the premiere alongside several of her siblings, including Jackie, Marlon, Randy and Jermaine Jackson, said she wished the entire family could have been involved.

“I wish everybody was in the movie!” she told the outlet.

Janet did not attend the premiere and has not publicly commented on her decision not to participate in the film.

Director Antoine Fuqua also addressed Janet’s absence while speaking with Variety at the premiere, making it clear that he respects her choice.

“I have so much respect and love for Janet, but you know it’s okay. She’s supportive of Jaafar and that’s what matters,” Fuqua said.

While Janet’s connection to the biopic has been limited, La Toya’s latest post offers fans a more personal look at the sisters’ relationship.

Her message also serves as a reminder that, despite their busy lives and decades in the spotlight, family remains important to both women.
