Lizzo’s Weight Loss & Health Journey
Lizzo has always been celebrated for her body confidence, but she has also been open about her health and weight loss transformation. In January 2025, she shared an exciting milestone with fans. “I did it,” she shared in the caption of an Instagram post that shows her wearing workout clothing. “Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!” The photo also revealed she had decreased her overall BMI and her body fat.
Fans flooded the post’s comment section with praise for Lizzo, applauding her for reaching her goal and for her gorgeous appearance. Lizzo is believed to have lost approximately 60 pounds, Blast reports.
Lizzo has inspired fans to get active and healthy, and her transformation has had more than just physical benefits. “Once I started working out for mental health, to have balanced mental health or endorphins, so that I don’t look at myself in the mirror and feel ashamed of myself, and feel disgusted with myself, exercise has helped me shift my mind, not my body,” she told fans in a TikTok video in May 2023. “My body is gonna change, everyone’s bodies change. That’s life.”
