Hallmark hunk Ben Hollingsworth has dropped some exciting news about his hit Netflix series “Virgin River.” Hollingsworth teased fans about Season 8 of “Virgin River,” which is currently filming, but that didn’t have anything to do with his big announcement about the hit series.
Ben Hollingsworth Drops Major ‘Virgin River’ Announcement
In an Instagram video, Hollingsworth, who plays Brady on “Virgin River,” revealed he can’t tell fans anything about the upcoming season. What he could share, though, was that the gang was getting together for a very special convention this fall.
“The first time ever, me and a bunch of my Virgin River castmates are going to be doing a convention. And not really any kind of convention. This isn’t like one of those big mall ones. This one’s kind of tailored just for shows like ours. It’s called Meet Cute Con, and the theme is Small Town Television. Well, that’s basically Virgin River. So, I am really, really excited because it’s in Nashville,” he expressed.
Hollingworth revealed it will take place at Loveless Barn and is being sponsored by Virgin Hotels in Nashville. The Meet Cute Con focuses on shows that are all about small towns and will be held from November 6 through November 8.
“Meet us in person, get a photo with us, hear some Q&A s, get some behind-the-scenes knowledge about Virgin River,” the actor spilled, while sharing that stars from “One Tree Hill” and “The Way Home” will also be part of the event.
People magazine reported that the other “Virgin River” stars joining Hollingsworth at the first-ever Meet Cute Con include: Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel), Martin Henderson (Jack), and Zibby Allen (Brie). Jana Kramer will be on hand representing “One Tree Hill,” and Evan Williams will be there on behalf of “The Way Home.”

Speaking with People magazine, Hollingsworth explained what makes him so thrilled to be part of the upcoming convention.
“Fans haven’t just connected with the show; they’ve become part of it. For me, what’s really special about this opportunity is the reimagining of the fan convention experience. I love that Meet Cute Con is thoughtfully shaping a whole event around the community that makes shows like ours special. I mean, we’re all basically gonna be part of the same small town for a weekend. How cool is that?! I can’t wait!” the actor shared with the outlet.
Hollingsworth further added that the convention is even more exciting because it’s the first time the “Virgin River” cast has come together for a fan event like this. The Hallmark star can’t wait to be with his cast members and interact with fans in a small, intimate setting.
It turns out that having Kramer and Williams in the mix was special for Hollingsworth as well. Last year, he starred with Kramer in “The Christmas Ring,” where they met for the first time. Evans and Hollingsworth have been friends for a long time. In fact, the latter was in attendance at Evans 2024 wedding to Rotana Tarabzouni.
