Harrison Ford & ‘Shrinking’ Cast Appeared on ‘Sesame Street’

In May, the stars of Apple TV’s “Shrinking,” including Ford, collaborated with “Sesame Street.” The cast members took portraits with the beloved characters and filmed six original segments for the show, according to Variety.

Aside from Ford, other cast members who joined include Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. They filmed video segments with Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Abby Cadabby and Oscar the Grouch.

Among the segments are topics that align well with the themes of “Shrinking,” including seeking forgiveness, showing courage, and being a good friend.

“‘Sesame Street’ and The Muppets were really my first introduction to comedy, and puppetry is where I learned how to play other characters who felt different than myself,” Segel told the outlet. “I’ve always felt that puppetry is a gateway to empathy because, if we can see ourselves in a big yellow bird, or a green frog, then maybe we can see ourselves in one another.”

This marked the first time “Sesame Street” shot with an entire ensemble cast.

Meanwhile, Ford announced an exciting new project at D23. On Saturday, the actor revealed he will serve as the actual model for “Indiana Jones'” audio-animatronic figure for the first time ever.

The attraction, titled “Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent,” will be located in the Tropical Americas land currently under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

“Hello, D23. Thanks for coming along on all of Indy’s adventures,” Ford said in the clip. “Soon it will be time for his next ride, and I’m pleased to share that for the first time ever, I’m the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic, fear of snakes included.”

He continued, “I’m excited for you to see his next epic adventure, and I’m coming to Walt Disney World soon.”

Ford first brought the iconic archaeologist to life in 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” which was later retitled “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.” He reprised the role in 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and 1989’s “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.”

Nearly two decades later, Ford returned as Indy in 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” before embarking on his final adventure in 2023’s “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.”
