Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods’ Malibu wedding doubled as a celebration of an unforgettable year for the New York Knicks.
The NBA star exchanged vows with the model and entrepreneur on August 15 in front of family, celebrity friends and several teammates. From the guest list to the gifts distributed after the ceremony, the Knicks’ historic championship season was incorporated throughout the celebration.
Karl-Anthony Towns Celebrated With His Teammates
Several Knicks players traveled to Malibu to watch Karl and Jordyn exchange vows.
Team captain Jalen Brunson attended the outdoor ceremony alongside OG Anunoby and Josh Hart, according to the New York Post.
Miles McBride was also photographed at the celebration. New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado joined the group of professional basketball players in attendance.
The gathering gave Karl another opportunity to celebrate with teammates following the Knicks’ 2026 NBA championship victory.
The Meaning Behind the ‘Married in 5’ Hoodies
Guests left the wedding wearing customized hoodies featuring the phrase “Married in 5.”
The message appeared to combine Karl and Jordyn’s new relationship status with the Knicks’ championship victory. New York defeated the San Antonio Spurs in five games during the 2026 NBA Finals.
The title marked the Knicks’ first championship in 53 years.
The wedding favors also included Fanatics gift bags, further connecting the celebration to professional sports. Guests were photographed leaving the venue with the bags and In-N-Out cups.
Famous Knicks Fans Joined the Celebration
Two of the Knicks’ most recognizable celebrity supporters also attended the wedding.
Timothée Chalamet arrived with girlfriend Kylie Jenner, a longtime friend of Jordyn. The actor has frequently attended Knicks games and publicly celebrated the team throughout its championship run.
Ben Stiller, another dedicated Knicks fan, attended with wife Christine Taylor. Ben has regularly supported the team from courtside and frequently discusses the Knicks on social media.
Other celebrity guests included Justin and Hailey Bieber, Michael B. Jordan, Teyana Taylor, Gayle King and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Jordyn Woods Supported the Knicks’ Championship Run
Jordyn became a familiar courtside presence throughout the Knicks’ successful season.
Fans particularly noticed the orange clutch she carried to several playoff games. The bag gained a reputation as a lucky charm because the team repeatedly won when Jordyn brought it to Madison Square Garden.
After the Knicks secured the championship, the bag was reportedly placed on display at the Guggenheim Museum.
Karl later joked about the accessory’s apparent powers during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Jordyn Could Receive a Championship Ring
The Knicks’ championship connection may continue beyond the wedding.
Team owner James Dolan reportedly confirmed that players’ wives and significant others would receive championship rings commemorating the 2026 title.
That means Jordyn could soon add another significant piece of jewelry to her collection following her engagement ring and wedding band.
The couple became engaged on Christmas Eve 2025 after approximately five years of dating. They announced the news the following day with the playful caption, “Marry Christmas.”
Less than eight months later, Karl and Jordyn celebrated their marriage during a weekend that reflected their relationship and the NBA season they experienced together.
For Karl, the wedding completed a milestone-filled summer that included winning an NBA championship and marrying his longtime best friend.
