Along with the fact that Kate Hudson brought her mom, Goldie Hawn, along to the 2026 Oscars, she also enjoyed the after-party with someone very special, her son Ryder.
The star “turned the 2026 Oscars into a golden mother-son outing,” according to E! News. “Following the award show, the Song Sung Blue actress—who left the ceremony empty handed after Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley won Best Actress in a Leading Role—was all smiles as she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party with a very special guest.”
“Kate hit the red carpet alongside son Ryder Robinson, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson,” per E! “And the 22-year-old towered over his mother as they posed together wearing matching black ensembles at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art March 15.”
Fans Can See the Resemblance Between Ryder & His Family
When Entertainment Tonight took to Instagram to share a video of Kate and Ryder, plenty of fans left comments regarding the sweet duo.
“Love me some Kate and Ryder ❤️❤️,” one person wrote.
Another social media user added, “He’s quite like [Kate’s brother] Oliver.”
“Her son looks like her, even looks like his uncle,” a third person wrote.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “Could he look more like his dad when he was younger 🙌”
Kate Has Opened Up About Her Special Relationship with Ryder
As fans know well, Kate “goes by many titles: actress, singer, songwriter, producer, director, screenwriter. Her favorite title, however, might just be mom. The Song Sung Blue star is a proud parent to three kids: Ryder, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson; Bingham, her son with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy; and Rani Rose, her daughter with current fiancé Danny Fujikawa,” according to InStyle.
Granted, Kate says that her relationship with Ryder is different than the connection she shares with her two younger children. “Noting that now that her son is older, the two have a real friendship,” per People, she also said “she will always be his mom.”
The star told People, “But because I guess I was young when I had him, it’s a different relationship than with my other kids. So he’s seen me through all of my good times, my bad times, this boyfriend, not that boyfriend.”
“He’s seen me through it all. And that’s very different because I never had an adult life really without him,” she added. “So it’s a little, I think more protective, meaning I think he’s very protective of me. And then I think my other kids will be, because we’ve been through so much together.”
“I mean, he really was my partner in crime, and I never went anywhere without him,” Kate continued. “So it’s very, very close.”
