‘SNL’ Teases Damon’s Episode With ‘Good Will Hunting’ Reference

“SNL” released a promotional video on YouTube featuring Damon alongside cast members Jeremy Culhane and Sarah Sherman, who are trying to come up with the perfect “SNL” sketch.

“Experts have been trying to crack this for years,” Sherman tells Damon in the video.

Culhane says, “Yeah, Farrell got close once but ultimately it drove him insane.”

Damon calls out the whiteboard they’re standing in front of that seems to be a reference to the “Good Will Hunting” chalkboard method. “You guys know that movie’s like, 30 years old, right?”

“Never seen it, dude,” Sherman claims.

“Yeah, I grew up in a cult,” Culhane adds. “Never seen a movie.”

Sherman and Culhane call it a night, leaving Damon alone in the studio to stare at the whiteboard for a beat before he begins working. The next day, Sherman and Culhane discover what Damon’s come up with.
