With the search for “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mom, Nancy Guthrie, being on its 12th day, the FBI has reportedly recruited a well-known investigator who worked on another prominent case.
According to Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz, “a prominent member of this team has worked other high-profile cases, including the Bryan Kohberger investigation,” in which Kohberger was arrested for the murders of four students at the University of Idaho in Nov. 2022.
Savannah Guthrie Shares New Video
In a new Instagram post on Thursday, Feb. 12, Savannah shared some home video footage of her mother Nancy spending time with her kids.
“our lovely mom. 💛 we will never give up on her. thank you for your prayers and hope,” the caption read.
And with that, many supportive comments were left on the post.
“Beautiful. Sending so much love and lifting you up in prayers 💛💛💛,” Today show host Adrianna Brach commented.
“Bring her home ❤” CBS News correspondent Norah O’Donnell posted.
“Never give up. Praying for deliverance 🙏🏾,” ABC News’ Deborah Roberts stated.

Authorities Reveals New Details Regarding Suspect In Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance
The FBI released a statement on Thursday, Feb. 12 with new details about the suspects.
“New identifying details about the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie have been confirmed after a forensic analysis of the doorbell camera footage by the FBI’s Operational Technology Division,” the Instagram post read. “The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’9” – 5’10” tall, with an average build. In the video, he is wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.”
With that, the FBI also announced that they are raising the reward to “$100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy Guthrie and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
Arizona Sheriff has blocked the FBI From Evidence In Nancy Guthrie Case
Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz reports that based on what he was told by a U.S. law enforcement official, the Arizona Sheriff has blocked the FBI “from key evidence in Guthrie Case.” He further reported that, “Sheriff Nanos sent a glove recovered from INSIDE the home to a private lab in Florida rather than the FBI’s lab in Virginia, according to the source.”
“The feds will likely need to re-test themselves, wasting time,” Ruiz stated, adding that the source described the situation as “insane.”
