As the search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie reached its seventh day, reporters on the ground in Arizona are documenting heightened activity around the Guthrie family’s homes.
Several media outlets have remained positioned near Nancy’s Catalina Foothills residence. However, some were moved back on Friday, February 6, after authorities cleared the street for what they described as “investigative purposes.”
As the days pass, coverage has expanded to the nearby home of “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s sister, Annie Guthrie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni, about four miles away, as journalists continue to monitor developments hour by hour.
The latest updates from Tucson points at the urgency of the investigation and the growing national attention surrounding the case.

On Saturday, February 7, investigators were seen returning to Annie Guthrie’s home in Tucson. Fox News Digital reported capturing video that appeared to show camera flashes inside the house.
Brian Entin, a senior national correspondent for NewsNation, shared updates from the scene on social media. “I’m outside Annie Guthrie’s house, where law enforcement appears to be taking photos inside,” Entin wrote.
In a separate post, he added, “Law enforcement appears to be at Annie Guthrie’s house. Camera flashes are coming from inside windows. Will upload video soon.”

According to New York-based investigative reporter Michael Ruiz of Fox News Digital, activity at the home has remained limited, with only subtle changes observed from outside.
“We haven’t seen any activity in the garage for some time, but now an interior light has been turned on in the opposite side of the house. No one has come out yet. Also unclear that the home is occupied by anyone but law enforcement right now,” Ruiz wrote.
The renewed law enforcement activity came just hours after Savannah publicly addressed the person believed to be holding her mother in another Instagram video.
Appearing alongside her siblings, Annie and Camron, she said, “We received your message, and we understand.”
She then pleaded, “We beg you now to return our mother to us so that we can celebrate with her. This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.”
Private Security Seen at the Property
Investigative reporter Jonathan Lee Riches said Saturday morning that a private security guard was posted outside the home of Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni.
NBCUniversalWhile activity at Annie Guthrie’s home drew attention Saturday, police were also reported at the property on Friday, February 6, according to Entin, who has been tracking the case closely from Arizona.
As the investigation continues, the presence of media, private security, and law enforcement reflects the strain surrounding the search.

Totally agree with you. This is a very strange case!!! I have my own thoughts about this and I’m very suspicious of certain people close to the case. Very close!!!
