Paramount+ has added four more renewals to its TV lineup. On Thursday, August 27, the streaming service, in partnership with BET Studios, announced the renewal of four popular series for new seasons, including two hits from filmmaker and producer Tyler Perry.
In June, BET+ began its slate transition to Paramount+. “We feel the migration was very successful; the audiences are showing up for sure,” Paramount+ Head of Originals Jane Wiseman told Deadline.
Here’s a look at the four shows renewed for a new season.
Paramount+ Renews ‘The Family Business’
Fans of “The Family Business” have more drama to look forward to as the series returns for Season 7. Based on Carl Weber’s book series, the crime family drama will feature 10 episodes in its upcoming installment.
Synopsis: The wealthy Duncans run their lucrative New York-based criminal enterprise with iron fists, and family always comes first.
Starring: Ernie Hudson, Valarie Pettiford, Darrin Dewitt, Javicia Leslie, Tami Roman, Sean Ringgold, Michael Jai White, Arrington Foster and Lisa Raye McCoy.
‘The Black Hamptons’
Paramount+ has also renewed “The Black Hamptons” for a third season. Similar to “The Family Business,” the series will return with a 10-episode run.
“The Black Hamptons” renewal comes more than two years after Season 2 ended on BET+.
Synopsis: In this adaptation of Carl Weber’s novel, the Britton family faces high tensions with the newly arrived Johnsons in the upscale Black town of Sag Harbor, NY.

Tyler Perry’s ‘Zatima’ Renewed at Paramount+
“Zatima” is returning for Season 6 on Paramount+. The Tyler Perry series will have 16 episodes, though no release date has been announced yet.
The integration of BET+ into Paramount+ involved buying out Tyler Perry Studios’ stake in the streaming service.
“Our relationship with Tyler Perry is very strong, and I’m excited for more content from him, as well as working closely with our friends at BET Studios,” Wiseman told Deadline.

‘Divorced Sistas’
Another Tyler Perry hit, “Divorced Sistas,” has been renewed for Season 3 on Paramount+. The series will feature 16 episodes.
Synopsis: What begins as one confession cracks open everything this group of women thought they were protecting. Years of deception, half-truths, and emotional compromises finally surface, forcing Rasheda, Geneva, Naomi, Tiffany, and Bridgette to confront not just the men in their lives, but one another.
Starring: LeToya Luckett, Khadeen Indréa, Porscha Coleman, Briana Price, Jennifer Sears, DeVon Franklin, Ronreaco Lee, and Robert Christopher Riley.
