Savannah Guthrie’s Mom Might Have Been Abducted: REPORT

UPDATE: Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told TMZ that Savannah Guthrie’s mother was taken from her bed.

A new update in the case involving Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother has been released, with authorities believing that the 84-year-old “may have been taken by force from her Arizona home,” TMZ reports.

A representative for the Pima County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet that this is “one avenue we’re looking into.”

According to TMZ, police have “declined to say whether blood was found inside the home, if the home was in disarray, and whether it looked like a struggle occurred, or if there was forced entry.”

Savannah Guthrie’s Mom’s Neighbor Details What He Saw

When speaking with US Weekly, Nancy Guthrie’s neighbor, Morgan Brown, detailed how there “were a lot of dark vans with blacked out windows,” as well as ” a lot of cop cars there at first, and then it was vans, so I assumed that maybe they came across something.”

He added that those in the neighborhood have been instructed to “look at our Ring cameras to see if anything popped up out of the ordinary.”

And with that, “vans and helicopters” arrived at Nancy’s house on Sunday afternoon.

“They had a helicopter up looking for her. There are no sidewalks in our neighborhood,” Brown told the outlet. “You just walk on the street and then there’s desert, so [they] thought she walked off into the desert or something, but she walks with a cane, so I can’t imagine why she would do that. It’s desert-y, scrubby mesquite trees and cactus and rocks everywhere.”

“I can’t imagine what someone would want with an 84-year-old woman,” Brown added.

Nancy Guthrie’s Personal Belongings Were All Found In Her House

According to The Daily Mail, authorities discovered numerous items in Nancy’s house that led them to be concerned.

“Her stuff was left behind at the house: keys, ID, purse, phone. Everything,” the insider said. “It’s not a situation where she voluntarily went away, because she didn’t take any of the things you would normally take if you voluntarily went out.”

With that, they added that Savannah “doesn’t believe that her mom just went out on her own accord.”

Following this report, Savannah has since released a statement, which was read aloud on the Today show on Monday despite her being absent.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support,” she said. “Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom. We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at (520) 351-4900.”

  1. It’s very concerning. She has medicine that she must take ir she could die without it. Please, whoever took Nancy, please return her to a local police station unharmed. My continued prayers for Nancy’s safe return. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

  2. Praying for the safest of returns for Nancy Guthrie. She never deserved any treatment like this, and I pray that she is found safe in the next hour.
I also pray that whoever has done this dastardly deed grows a conscious and returns her safe.
Whoever has done this, you will be dealt with harshly if any harm comes to Ms. Nancy.
