As Savannah Guthrie grapples with the heartbreaking presumed abduction of her beloved mother Nancy, Hollywood has wrapped their arms around the popular “Today” host, and Halle Berry and Reese Witherspoon are among the latest stars to reach out.
On the most recent Instagram clip posted by Guthrie, in which she announced the family is offering a $1 million reward, the “Legally Blonde” star commented, “Praying for your mama. I know someone can help.”
Likewise, Halle Berry wrote, “Praying for you all.”
Droves of other stars have reacted to the unthinkable situation, with Kristin Chenoweth commenting to leave three praying hands on a February 27 post by Hoda Kotb which was captioned, “Bring her home.” Linday Lohan’s mother Dina did the same.
Another reaction came from fellow TV host Padma Lakshimi, who wrote on a clip from the same video Guthrie shared on February 27, “I’m so so sorry you and your family are going through this nightmare. I’ve been thinking of you so much these days. And praying for her swift return.”
Report Says There Is ‘No Decision’ on Savannah Guthrie’s Future at ‘Today Show’
TMZ reported on February 27 that insiders told them Guthrie’s permanent departure from hosting position at “Today” is “still an open question,” with no set timeline as to when or if she is coming back. The outlet also says they learned NBC is being “careful not to pressure” the 54-year-old.
The report goes on to say sources at NBC told TMZ the show is “fully supportive” of a return, and that “it’s just a matter of when she feels ready.”
No Suspects Are Known As First Month of Search for Nancy Guthrie Draws to a Close
Today, February 28, marks the close of a full month that Nancy has been missing since vanishing from her home near Tucson, Arizona. She was last seen by her daughter Annie Guthrie and her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, whom CNN says drove her home after she had Ubered to the pair’s house earlier in the evening for dinner.
Early in the investigation on February 5, NewsNation reporter Ashley Banfield said a source had mentioned Cioni’s name as a potential suspect, but Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said in a February 16 statement shared on X that all Guthrie family members “including siblings and spouses” had been cleared as suspects.
He added the family has been cooperative and gracious in the investigation before calling them “nothing but victims.”

I thank everyone who is still hoping for another clue that will go a long way in this case. As I do as well. At this point, Savannah must come home. She has not seen her children in over a month..Now it is up to us to ask the FBI and local enforcement every day what they are doing to solve this. We can not let this go back into a pile of unsolved mysteries.
The nothers kidnap was orchestrated by creeper son in law. Savannah should have put ransom.up.front at beginning. The mom is being held im sure in Nogales Mexico which is just 60miles away. FBI needs to.put cameras around that shutdown to find her in nogales. I dont think.shes alive anymore. The family should be ashamed especially savannah for not having a love in nurse with her.kom and a working emergency system…no.excuse
I totally agree with you. She should have had a care nurse. Savannah can afford a nurse.
