Season seven of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is set to premiere on September 16. Now, ahead of the first episode, one of the stars of the show, Angie Katsanevas, is opening up about her marriage to Shawn Trujillo. Notably, this comes after a report claimed the RHOSLC star and her husband of 27 years were headed for divorce.
Angie Katsanevas Confirms She And Husband Shawn Trujillo Are No Longer Romantic
GettyKatsanevas was interviewed by Page Six in September 2026, promoting her hosting duties for the “GoDaddy School of Hustle” podcast. However, during the interview, she also discussed the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” revealing that there “are some separations” that fans will see play out.
She began, “I’ve been amazed at how many people are curious as to what’s going on in my personal life. The viewers fall in love with you, and your family, and your story.”
Then, regarding the status of her relationship, she shared, “Shawn and I are business partners, we’re family, we’re husband and wife of 30 years, we’re best friends.”
Katsanevas continued, “Obviously, we are loving parents, and everything we’ve done, we have done together, and we will continue to do everything together moving forward.”
From there, she discussed how much of her lifestyle change fans will see play out on RHOSLC. According to her, “We talk a lot about the process this season on the show, and what the future looks like for us.”
Of course, the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star and her husband also share a daughter, Eleckria. Regarding how she’s handling the split, Katsanesvas stated that “nothing has changed for her.”
She added, “We’re very present, loving parents. I think she just feels loved and supported and very strong and confident in who she is and who her parents are, and that she is surrounded by love.”
The RHOSLC Star Also Addressed Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks
GettyDuring the Page Six interview, Katsanevas also addressed her “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” co-stars Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks. Notably, both ladies seemingly issued somewhat shady responses to the report about her separation from Trujillo.
For context, Barlow posted a loving photo with her husband, John Barlow, while Marks posted a series of cryptic messages to Threads.
She called their respective social media posts “poor timing” and “tasteless.” According to her, “I think when children and families are involved, that’s really nothing to make a post about. You can hold your thoughts to yourself, or better yet, release a post in support of families, marriages, and people with children.”
Katsanevas then said, “I think there’s a time and a place; I think it’s important to support your castmates when they’re down.”
Angie K Previously Teased ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’
Katsanevas was interviewed by Us Weekly in July 2026, well ahead of season seven of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.” During the interview, she teased an “amazing” season, noting several changes in relationship dynamics.
She stated, “It’s going to be amazing. I think there’s a lot of … focus on deep friendships, which is what I believe makes Salt Lake City successful. I say that because sometimes I ask myself, ‘Why is Salt Lake so popular? What do people love about it? What makes us different?”
The RHOSLC star then said, “Everyone is so funny in their own way, but the relationships are real. The friendships, I think, there’s a lot of love and mutual respect with all the women, and the dynamics in this group are so interesting. It’s like an NBA team where every player is required, and the relationships are.”
Additonally, she revealed that the dynamics between the ladies are “evolving.”
