There have been several ladies who have appeared on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” since it premiered in 2010. One of the most talked about is soap opera icon Eileen Davidson, who appeared on the show as a main cast member for three seasons, leaving in 2017, and later making guest appearances. Now, years later, she’s revealing that she was recently asked back.
Davidson appeared on CBS’s “Soapy,” which is hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart. While on, Rikaart asked the RHOBH alum if she would consider returning to the show. The 66-year-old said, “Listen, I learned a long time ago not to say ‘never,’ but I don’t see it.”
Eileen Davidson Was Asked Back to RHOBH
GettyDavidson continued her response by revealing that she had been asked back to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” According to her, “They asked me to come back for a few last year, but the money and the whole thing just wasn’t worth the emotional thing.”
After that, she emphasized that being on the show may be totally “worth it” for other people. She then said, “For me. I’m not cut out for it necessarily.” From there, she mentioned “one thing I’ve learned,” before discussing what some people, seemingly RHOBH castmembers, would be willing to do for fame.
Davidson recalled her time on the show, “I was always asking the producers, ‘Would they really do something like that just because they want to be relevant?'”
Fans Are Reacting to The News of Her Being Asked Back
GettyFollowing Davidson’s comments going viral, many took to social media to react. For the most part, RHOBH viewers feel the show needed her. One person wrote, “I had a feeling she was asked back as a friend for this season because there was so much buzz around her last year! What a missed opportunity, but I also don’t blame her for declining.”
Someone else said, “BRAVO BETTER GIVE EILEEN THE COINS FOR S16. WE NEED HER BACK.” Another fan wrote, “I mean, I get it, lol. Not everyone wants to have conflict 24/7 and on HWs, if you don’t… You either get fired or fans dislike you for being boring. She just seems like a chill lady who doesn’t want that around. She could be like a guest or FOH, like Kathy. No drama tbh.”
She Left ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ After Season 10
GettyAs mentioned, Davison appeared on seasons 5 through 7 as an official RHOBH cast member. After that, she appeared as a guest in seasons 8 and 10. She announced her exit from the show in June 2017.
Per PEOPLE, Davidson said in a statement, “After a lot of careful thought, I’ve decided because of my crazy schedules at ‘The Young and The Restless,’ as well as ‘Days of Our Lives,’ it’s best for me and my family if I step away from being a Housewife for now.”
She continued, “But you never know, I might be popping in from time to time just to see what the ladies are up to! Thanks for your love and support, guys!!!” Regarding casting, Davidson’s announcement came after Eden Sassoon revealed in the prior month that she would not be returning to RHOBH for season eight.
Of course, these days, she’s still appearing in her iconic role of Ashley Abbot on “Days of Our Lives.” Notably, she was nominated for a 2025 Daytime Emmy Award for the role.
