Bravo star Jeana Keough, 70, had her last radiation treatment following her tongue cancer diagnosis, according to her daughter, Kara Keough Bosworth.
Kara shared a hopeful update for the “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum via GoFundMe, where she detailed Jeana’s recovery after her last round of radiation on August 4.
“Jeana finished her last radiation treatment yesterday, and we were informed that these next two weeks will be the roughest on her physically,” Kara explained. “The radiation burns have now made it to the outer skin on her neck, and even putting medicated cream on the area with the gentlest of touches causes her wincing pain.”
Jeana Keough Cancer Recovery Update
“We’re rocking and rolling with the feeding tube and I can feed her in the dark while she sleeps at this point, and she’s stopped losing weight. This is a win and we’re taking it as such. We’re still trying to find a nausea treatment that might prevent the painful vomiting but haven’t found the perfect solution yet,” she added.
Kara noted that her brother, Colton Keough, is taking care of their mom in Orange County as she recovers. Kara shared that Jeana’s son, Shane Keough, also plans to visit and care for their mom during her healing process. Jeana’s boyfriend Thomas has also stepped in to support the realty TV star.
Jeana’s tongue cancer was revealed in July when Kara assembled a GoFundMe to help pay for treatment. The former Bravo star discovered she had cancer after getting her tongue checked following a peculiar mouth pain, according to her daughter.
“A biopsy confirmed our worst fear: squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue,” Kara previously shared of Jeana’s diagnosis.
Kara said that after her mom underwent her first surgery to remove the cancer, Jeana had to undergo a second surgery to remove lymph nodes.
With Jeana having finished radiation therapy, Kara noted that her mom is focusing “all of her energy on healing” as she continues her recovery.

“The last [I saw] Gina [was] this season, and we have a very good mutual friend, so I kind of knew what was going on with her,” Gina explained. “I just gave her really big hugs the night that I did see her.”
Andy Cohen championed the Bravoleb by donating $5,000 to her GoFundMe. He also shared an uplifting message to Jeana in the comments of an Instagram post shared by Kara.
