Lisa Rinna is opening up in a candid new moment, revealing a surprising truth about her books that fans never saw coming.
The former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star opened up about the unexpected detail behind her bestselling books while appearing on the “Bookmarked by Reese’s Book Club” podcast. It quickly turned into a candid moment that shed new light on how the creation of her books actually came together behind the scenes.
Lisa Rinna Revealed She Uses a Ghostwriter
Former RHOBH star Lisa Rinna was on “Bookmarked” to promote her latest written work, “You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.” With her usual candor, Rinna revealed that she has used a ghostwriter for all her books, and she’s not afraid to talk about it.
“I don’t write my own book; I have to have a ghostwriter because I am not a writer, and that’s just the truth,” Rinna revealed. “So I said, ‘Let me meet with three ghostwriters, and if I connect to one, I’ll do it.'”
She continued, “So, I met three different ghostwriters and I connected to one. And I thought. ‘This would be fun.’”
“I thought, ‘They had my voice, they had an idea of who I am and my whole career.’ I just took a risk, and it turned out to be a very cathartic, very great experience.”
However, instead of feeling negatively about the fact that she didn’t author her own books, Rinna credited her ghostwriter for their hard work and capturing her essence.
“I had so much fun,” she added. “I never had fun writing a book before. So it was meant to happen.”
Lisa Rinna’s Fans Applauded Her Honesty
Fans of the former RHOBH star love her for her no-nonsense approach to life. They enjoyed the fact that she owned her strengths and weaknesses during this interview.
One fan noted in the comments section of Reese’s Book Club Instagram post, “I love the transparency!” A second penned, “I love that she was willing to talk about having a ghostwriter and that she didn’t feel the need to gatekeep.”
“Kudos for telling the truth about your ghostwriter! Can’t wait to read the book,” exclaimed a third Instagram follower. “She worked with a writer to write her story. I don’t think it’s as black and white a process as people seem to think. Good for her for being candid and knowing she’s lucky to have had a writer write her story masterfully.”
Lisa Rinna is the author of four books: 2009s “Rinnavation: Getting Your Best Life Ever,” 2010s “Starlit,” “The Big, Fun, Sexy Sex Book” (2012), and “You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It.”

Revealing you have a ghost writer for your books is the only thing I respect you for. Good for you being transparent.
