Michelle Obama Re-enacts Her Favourite ‘Real Housewives’ Moment

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has revealed what her favorite moment from the “Real Housewives” franchise is while appearing on her “IMO Podcast” with her brother Craig Robinson. Obama pinpointed a memorable incident involving Teresa Giudice and even went on to re-enact the moment for viewers.

Later in the podcast, she also addressed some of the controversy surrounding “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and how production on the latest season has been stalled due to a feud between some of the cast.

As part of a segment where Obama answered viewer questions read out by Robinson, she was asked about what her favorite moment is from the reality television franchise. She went on to explain how she is a fan of all the different versions of the “Real Housewives” series but is particularly fond of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

While giving her opinion of the very best moments from the Bravo franchise, Obama struggled to pick one definitive moment before recalling the moment when Giudice flipped a table in a restaurant, causing a huge scene.

The scene in question played out in the first season of the show and involved Giudice slamming her hands on the table while calling her co-star Danielle Staub a “prostitute and a [expletive].” The reality star then went on to throw over the table and its contents.

Mimicking the action for viewers of the video version of the podcast, Obama repeated the now iconic phrase and faked outrage as she banged her fists on the set desk.

She also weighed in on the current public feud affecting filming for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” This involves an ongoing row between Guidice, her brother Joe Gorga, and his wife Melissa Gorga

As the episode continued, Michelle answered a second question, in which the former FLOTUS recommended a specific Bravo program to some of their listeners.

“I watch them all,” she said. “New Jersey is going through some stuff right now. Because it wasn’t even clear if they were going to film together.”

“It got ugly,” Obama added. “It’s a good one, cause the Jersey folks don’t play.”

Will ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Return?

While Bravo has been keen to stress that “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” has not been shelved, fans are seemingly no nearer seeing the show return to television screens. Rumors have persisted that a full reboot or cast shakeup could be in the works following the controversial fourteenth season in 2024.

Andy Cohen spoke about the situation late last year, saying that the network currently had no new information to share with viewers after he was asked if there would be an update about the series at BravoCon 2025.

“Well, I can tell you you’re not gonna get one. Okay?” Cohen, 57, revealed. “There is no Jersey announcement. We will announce something when the casting’s right, okay?  We’re not gonna be backed into something that’s not gonna be great, because the Jersey fans deserve greatness, and we’re not there yet. I’m just being real with you.”
