Rachel Fuda is sharing new details about her family’s upcoming move to Florida.
On August 10, the former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star and her husband, John, announced a move to the Sunshine State— more than two years after RHONJ went on a long hiatus.
Fuda, who is not a returning cast member for the 15th season of the Bravo reality show, also took to her Instagram story to share footage of the couple’s new Palm Beach County home and answer fan questions about the move.
“This has been on our radar and kind of our plan forever. It was just like figuring out the logistics of it and like the timing, I guess,” she shared in the video, before explaining that her husband previously lived in Sarasota and Siesta Key, and went to school there.
“So we felt it was the right move,” she added. “John was building his business here for the last few years, and it’s grown a lot. And he travels back and forth a ton, too. But I just think it’s a better quality of life.”
Rachel Fuda Revealed She Will Keep a Summer Home in New Jersey
Fuda, who shares kids Jaiden, Gianella, and Giuliana, and Lorenzo, with her husband, told fans that her young daughters are “so excited” about the new house, which is located less than three hours from Walt Disney World.
She also shared that there is not an official move date yet, but that it will be a slow process.
“Probably like next year,” she said. “We definitely want to do some things to the house, so we will be spending some time here so you guys will get to see the house and see the process of it. But it’s going to be a longer process. We’re not necessarily rushing. The house is beautiful. The backyard is gorgeous. It’s in the most beautiful community… and we’re gonna rip the roof off and redo the whole house, probably.”
Fuda noted that while no other family members are moving to Florida just yet, she hopes her parents will eventually make the move South.
“We are not selling our shore house, she confirmed. “So we will be spending our summers in Jersey.”
One House Will Be Sold
Fuda noted that the couple’s property in Franklin Lakes will be sold but that the drive to her parents’ home in North Jersey isn’t that far from the shore, so she still hopes to see her New Jersey friends each summer.
While she didn’t post a full house tour, Fuda shared some footage of the master bathroom in the new home as well as a video of a long pathway going through the yard, which she described as her “favorite part of the whole house.”
The pathway leads to a pond, although the RHONJ alum joked that she would probably never be out there because she’s afraid of bugs and alligators.
“Our neighbors have roosters,” she added. “We woke up to them cock-a-doodle-dooing this morning.”
Rachel Fuda Broke Her Move News on Instagram
Fuda originally announced her move in an Instagram post on August 10, in which she showed off the brick pathway in her new yard. In the clip, her husband lifted her up for a kiss.
“It’s time for our next adventure,” the RHONJ alum captioned the video. “We’re moving to Florida. …Here’s to new memories, new beginnings, + our next adventure 🫶🏻 now let’s take the roof off this bad boy!’
In her update video, Fuda confirmed that her Housewives days are done, telling fans that if there were a “Real Housewives of Palm Beach,” it would still be a “hard no” for her.
