Kandi Burruss Responds to K. Michelle’s RHOA Reunion Comments
GettyBurruss recently appeared on “The Big Tigger Morning Show.” During a portion of the show, the interviewer asked Burruss about the recent “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion, in which Michelle seemingly referred to her as a mean girl. She began, “I personally feel that mean girls can’t call other girls mean girls. It doesn’t work like that.”
After that, the Broadway producer brought up Michelle’s past on “Love & Hip Hop,” saying, “We’ve seen her like literally go in on people multiple times on camera, on television.” She went on to give examples, such as the current RHOA star “calling people out their names” and “doing all the things.”
Burruss continued, “And with that I have to say, if I’m a mean girl, she was a mean girl, too. If you are not nice to me, I am not nice to you.”
The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Comments
During the first part of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 17 reunion, Morton was confronted about stating that her friends didn’t want her to become close to Michelle. Specifically, Morton mentioned Burruss, with whom she’s been friends for several years, and a few other ladies.
When Morton mentioned the other ladies, she called them “people that K don’t get along with.” Michelle said, “The mean girls of Atlanta.”
Kandi Recently Revealed She Was Asked Back to The Show
GettyBurruss announced her plans to leave “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in February 2024 while the series was on an extended hiatus ahead of its soft reboot. Following her exit, she has not only continued performing with her R&B group Xscape but has also succeeded as a Broadway producer. However, sadly, she also divorced Todd Tucker after 11 years of marriage.
However, she’s not ruling out a return to the show, even though she says it’s not something she would do at present. Recently, during an episode of her “Speak On It” podcast, she revealed that she was asked to return. However, it should be noted that it’s unclear what season the network wanted her to appear on.
Burruss stated, “Now, what I will say about it is I love the audience of Bravo. I love the fans and all of that. So, I wouldn’t say never, but that’s not on my bucket list right now. Like, right now, I have so many other dreams and goals. And I don’t think, I think being on the show would be blocking me from going after the other, bigger things that I want to do.”
