Weeks after her Los Angeles home was burglarized, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Sutton Stracke is speaking out about the incident and how she’s moving forward.
In a candid interview with ABC News’ “Nightline,” which aired December 18, Stracke recounted the terrifying November break-ins that occurred while she and fellow cast member Kathy Hilton were in Las Vegas attending BravoCon 2025.
Sutton Stracke Bravely Reflects on Recent Home Burglary
“It feels strange to know that there were three men in my house in my room going through my drawers,” said the “Real Housewives” star.
As reported by People, an estimated $1 million worth of designer handbags and high-end jewelry were stolen from Stracke’s bedroom closet—including several Hermès bags she considered family heirlooms.
“Those are… [family] heirlooms,” she said. “Not to mention also this strange sense of somebody was in here.”
Despite the unsettling experience, Stracke said she refuses to live in fear and remains committed to showing her life authentically on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“I never conjured the idea that somebody was watching this show to break into my house,” she told Nightline. Though she admitted the timing—being out of town during BravoCon—may have been known to some, she emphasized the importance of not letting fear dictate her actions. “I can’t allow myself to live in fear of being on this show and not letting our viewers experience things in its most authentic, truest form.”
Stracke Shares Message of Resilience & Caution After Break-In
Following the robbery, Stracke shared that she immediately messaged her “RHOBH” co-stars to remind them to double-check the security of their homes. She also noted that the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed break-ins occurred on the same block that night. In her case, it was her dog walker who found the front door wide open and called the police.
Kathy Hilton’s home was also targeted just hours later. According to Extra, her husband, Rick Hilton, was home at the time and reportedly scared the burglars away with a shotgun before contacting 911.
When asked whether she believed the burglars were targeting Housewives stars specifically, Stracke said no. “Maybe it was because I’m on this television show. But I have to remember that my next-door neighbor was broken into a couple of years ago,” she said, underscoring the importance of staying grounded and not jumping to conclusions.
Still, the Bravo star acknowledges how unsettling the experience was—and she hopes others can learn from it.
“Be as careful as possible with your house,” she advised. “Lock everything. I’m lucky I have armed security now, but it’s important no matter who you are.”

“I have armed security, now”? Say what? “Now”?
For several *years* now, knowing the level of break ins in the LA area, AND years ago what had happened to Dorit…..every housewife WOULDN’T have armed security, EVERY time they know they will be away, and other top level security for when you are at home? They are completely sitting ducks. Wow.
