Elsewhere, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) learned devastating news about Chanel Dupree DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) health, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) uncovered a promising lead in the Sophia case, and Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) put a risky plan involving EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) into motion.

Lexie Returns Home And Makes A Surprising Request
After being discharged from the hospital, Lexie returned home with Abe and Theo. While Abe and Theo fussed over her well-being, Lexie insisted she was healthy and ready to move forward.
The family spent time catching up on everything Lexie had missed. When the conversation turned to Theo’s love life, he quickly found an excuse to leave and headed out to pick up treats from Sweet Bits.
Once alone, Abe and Lexie shared a heartfelt reunion. However, the conversation soon shifted to Paulina. Lexie acknowledged that Abe had built a life with Paulina while she was gone, but she struggled with the reality of sharing his attention.
Although Abe suggested simply asking Paulina for some private time while Lexie adjusted, Lexie pushed for something more drastic. She suggested that Abe cut off contact with Paulina entirely and allow her to “get the hint.”
Abe reassured Lexie that he had mourned her every day she was gone and that she would always have a special place in his heart.
Paulina Learns About Chanel’s Cancer Diagnosis
Paulina paid a visit to Chanel and quickly sensed that something was wrong. Chanel eventually revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The news left Paulina stunned. Putting everything else aside, she immediately focused on supporting her daughter. Paulina promised she would be there every step of the way and was relieved to hear that Lani had already stepped in to help with the bakery.
Determined to make things easier for Chanel, Paulina began canceling meetings and rearranging her schedule. However, Chanel stopped her mother before she could do too much.
Wanting life to remain as normal as possible, Chanel encouraged Paulina to continue with her responsibilities and reluctantly sent her home.
After Paulina left, Chanel finally allowed herself to break down. Later, she decided to take Trey for a walk after he woke from his nap.
Meanwhile, a devastated Paulina returned to her hotel suite and immediately began researching breast cancer and pregnancy before breaking down in tears.
Jada Uncovers A New Lead In The Sophia Investigation
At DiMera Enterprises, EJ was surprised when Johnny admitted that he wanted to step away from the company. Johnny eventually revealed that Chanel had been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to focus his attention on supporting her.
Their conversation was interrupted when Jada arrived with additional questions about Sophia.
Jada revealed that investigators had recovered the gun used during the attack on Johnny. However, the weapon was untraceable, raising new questions about how Sophia obtained it.
As they reviewed the events of that day, Johnny recalled something that had previously seemed insignificant. Sophia somehow knew he would be home alone and that Chanel would be gone for hours.
Although Johnny couldn’t identify who might have shared that information, Jada believed the detail could help identify someone who assisted Sophia.
Cat Sets A Trap For EJ
Cat visited Mark at the lab and learned that their mother’s condition had taken a turn for the worse.
During their conversation, Mark inadvertently revealed that the experimental drug being developed for EJ could potentially help their mother as well. Cat immediately began looking for a way to make that happen.
Later, Cat approached EJ at the hospital and explained her mother’s deteriorating condition. She suggested that her mother could potentially benefit from a clinical trial involving the same treatment that helped Lexie.
EJ agreed to contact Rolf and explore the possibility, though he warned there would likely be conditions attached.
As soon as EJ walked away, Cat contacted Rafe and revealed that she had deliberately set a trap for EJ and believed he was about to fall right into it.
Back at the lab, Mark faced a setback when he discovered that several of his lab rats had unexpectedly died.
Gabi’s Apology Tour Continues
Gabi crossed paths with Philip in Horton Square and attempted to make amends once again.
After confirming that she would receive her DiMera inheritance, Gabi renewed her offer to share a portion of the money with Philip. He immediately rejected the idea and accused her of acting out of guilt.
Things became even more awkward when Gabi referenced Theo, assuming he had been the one who exposed her actions. Philip quickly revealed that Theo wasn’t the person who told him the truth.
Realizing her mistake, Gabi rushed off to find Theo and offer an apology.
Unfortunately, the conversation didn’t go much better. Theo was willing to listen until he discovered that Gabi was only apologizing because Philip had uncovered the truth. Feeling betrayed, he walked away before she could make things right.
Later, Gabi learned that Philip had attempted to cancel Titan’s shipping agreement with Gabi Chic. She quickly tracked him down and reminded him that they had a binding contract.
Despite their personal issues, Gabi made it clear that she had no intention of letting him walk away from the deal.
Theo Becomes Overwhelmed By Everything Happening Around Him
While carrying treats home for Lexie, Theo ran into Chanel and Trey in Horton Square.
The step-siblings acknowledged the awkwardness surrounding everything that had happened recently and tried to move forward. However, the conversation soon became overwhelming for Theo.
As he reflected on recent betrayals, changing family dynamics, and everything happening around him, Theo began experiencing sensory overload and struggled to process his emotions.
Chanel immediately grew concerned and asked if he was okay.
Theo assured her that he was simply overwhelmed. Rather than burdening him with her own struggles, Chanel chose not to reveal her cancer diagnosis.
Instead, she offered reassurance, reminding Theo that no matter what happened, she would always be his sister.
Monday’s episode left several Salem residents facing uncertain futures.
As Paulina struggles to come to terms with Chanel’s diagnosis, Theo continues to grapple with overwhelming emotions, and Jada moves one step closer to uncovering the truth about Sophia’s actions.
Meanwhile, Lexie’s return is already creating new complications for Abe and Paulina, setting the stage for even more drama in the days ahead.
