Hayden Panettiere’s Boyfriend’s Family Visited by Police

Police were seen at the home of Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend’s family just days after the actress died at 36, according to TMZ.

Two uniformed officers were photographed outside the Hickerson family home Wednesday morning. One officer was seen knocking on the front door while another approached the property through the driveway.

It is unclear why officers visited the residence or whether anyone answered the door.

The Actress Passed on Aug. 16

The visit comes as authorities continue investigating Panettiere’s death. The actress died Sunday, Aug. 16, after she was found unresponsive at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina.

According to a police report, emergency personnel and firefighters were already performing CPR when officers arrived.

Panettiere did not appear to have any visible physical injuries that would explain why she was unresponsive.

Zach Hickerson, the brother of Panettiere’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was identified as the person who found her.

According to the report, Zach told officers that Panettiere was his brother’s girlfriend. Brian was reportedly asleep when Zach discovered the actress and emergency services were called.

Panettiere was in cardiac arrest when first responders arrived. Despite attempts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police report described an emotional scene as medical personnel worked to save the actress. Officers also documented that Panettiere’s boyfriend showed them a bag containing medication she had been taking.

A courtesy officer at the Judson Mill Lofts also reportedly told investigators that surveillance footage was available showing all three individuals arriving at and leaving the property.

The Couple Had a Complicated Past

Brian and Panettiere had a complicated, on-again, off-again relationship. The actress previously discussed their relationship and allegations of domestic violence in her memoir, “This Is Me: A Reckoning.”

Neither Brian nor Zach has publicly addressed Panettiere’s death in recent days. Zach was photographed earlier this week picking up food from a local restaurant.

Panettiere’s official cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office previously confirmed that an autopsy found no signs of trauma that contributed to her death. Additional testing is still pending.

Dispatch audio from the emergency response referenced a possible overdose, while Narcan was reportedly found at the residence. However, those details have not established an official cause of death.

Friends & Fans Mourn Her Passing

Panettiere’s death was announced Sunday by her representatives, who described her as “an incredible light and a force of nature.”

The actress began working professionally as a child before becoming widely recognized for her role as Claire Bennet on NBC’s “Heroes.” She later starred as Juliette Barnes on ABC’s “Nashville,” earning multiple award nominations for the role.

Her film credits included “Remember the Titans,” “Raising Helen,” “Scream 4” and “Scream VI.”

Panettiere is survived by her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, whom she shared with former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.

He wrote a touching tribute on social media following the news.

As her family, friends and former costars continue to mourn her death, officials have not announced when the remaining investigative findings will be released.
